Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrina Isakhani.
Adrina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Adrina Isakhani is a mixture of Assyrian and Armenian who was born in Iran. She was thirteen years old when she moved to the U.S. with her family to pursue higher education. Currently, she resides in Los Angeles, CA. Adrina has earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Occupational Health from CSU Northridge, she holds her Master of Science in Environmental Occupational Health/Industrial Hygiene from CSU Northridge and MBA from CSU Monterey Bay. Currently, she is working on her PhD. in Industrial Hygiene and anticipating to graduate May 2026 from Capitol Technology University. Her photography specialty comes from a deep passion that sparked at age seven when she used her mom’s 35 mm film camera to take pictures. It was fascinating to Adrina taking pictures and developing the photos in the dark room. As Adrina was pursuing her studies at CSU Northridge, her passion for photography led her to enroll in black and white photography, developing films, printing in the dark room, and digital photo editing courses. A combination of science and art has been part of Adrina and till today she continues her work in the field of science as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager and photographs clients. It is a dynamic environment working with clients, directing and making clients comfortable in front of the lens. Adrina photographs Persian singers, photographs behind the scenes of music videos, cultural festivals, captures many special moments of couples and models. Adrina has experience in marketing, managing artists, and growing their social platforms. Technology has been improving so much and this has been aiding photographers and filmmakers to create better realistic and unrealistic scenes using AI and developed softwares. Photography and filmmaking are both mesmerizing and Adrina has been exploring filmmaking, directing, creating music videos, and producing. Adrina says “Doesn’t matter how hard life gets and how stressful it becomes, just follow your passion and in the end, it will all pay off”. Adrina has been turning her dreams to reality. She has been blessed by having her supportive family and friends in her journey of success. Recently, Adrina has released her short film Journey of a Girl Who Discovers Her Inner Self! Her short film has been selected by many film festivals and has been a finalist many times. Her short film is available on YouTube Channel AI Cinematic Photography Productions. Adrina, has been working on her second short film and hope that viewers will enjoy her upcoming short film. Her favorite photographer is Richard Avedon. Her favorite directors are Steven Spielberg and Woody Allen.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The challenges are running against time and joggling a work life balance. Quality is a priority and capturing a meaningful photo or making an incredible film to move the viewers is a must. Perfection takes time and giving viewers a good quality film is the goal to achieve.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am proud of myself for not giving up on my dreams. I am known for my photography and currently pursing film. From a young age, I was a passionate photographer and every opportunity I had I took photos. Whether it was at a family gathering, music video shoots or ceremonies capturing the special moments. I have always self supported myself in purchasing equipment and attending courses or workshops besides earning my degrees in Sciences. Art is part of me and it gives me a reason to go on and create more.
What are your plans for the future?
I am looking forward to my second short film. I would like to be known for my creativity and grow my passion in the film industry.
