Check Out Nycholas Hughes’s Story

Hi Nycholas, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started acting when I was in Elementary school and I loved it; it was amazing; it was crazy how I could snap into any character they wanted me to be. When I graduated from 5th grade, I went to Madrona middle school when I was in the 7th grade that’s when I had my first fight my bully had kneed me in the groin and then the when bully was running towards me I lifted him above my head and slammed him to the ground that’s when I knew I wanted to be a professional wrestler.

When I got to high school, I joined wrestling and I joined a wrestling promotion it was great so what I would do is I would do amateur wrestling at school then I would do professional wrestling as well I would do a little bit of mma now and then.

When I graduated high school, I went into the acting industry and having ADD I didn’t think I could do it and stay focused but when I got my first role in the Apple TV series are you sleep? That was just it for me I started getting roles on All American, Euphoria, Ballers, Dear White People, Black Monday and SWAT. Now since Covid hit, I’ve been writing, Directing, and Acting comedy skits show with my friend Mamdoh Eldaw he’s a fellow actor and my best friend in the same Acting Agency as me while I’m doing that, I write down rap lyrics of my color getting killed in the streets and how it hurts me and how the world needs to change and I talk about politics I always watch CNN I say it’s important for people my age to watch the news because what’s going on nowadays and who’s in the Oval Office now we have to know what’s going on the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as relatively smooth road?
It’s been a rough road ever since covid hit no more roles, no money, struggling to find a job but I have something in my soul called iron will it’s what keeps me going.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an Actor, Writer, Director, and comedian I try to maneuver myself around to make sure I never let go of what I have. I’m very proud to have the iron will and determination sometimes I get off topic and start talking about Politics and speaking for my fallen brothers and sisters that died at the hands of the police I see myself as a BLM Activist.

What are your plans for the future?
The plans I have is that I hope to join a bigger acting agency and break out into the main roles and start finally doing movies and start modeling there were times where I was close to giving up because I feel like Talented are not being acknowledged but no I never give up on my dreams.
