Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Rindt.
Natasha, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Born and raised in Southern California, I’ve always enjoyed sunshine and the beauty of the outdoors. I first picked up a paint brush when I was only four years old, and haven’t wanted to put it down since. Manipulating shape and color brings me peace in a chaotic world.
At age 16, I tackled my first mural, a cityscape of Florence, Italy. I went on to study Digital Arts at Chapman University and created the animated short film Miss Roboto, which played in over 20 film festivals around the world.
After graduating, I returned to my studio art roots and began painting custom art for homes and business across Southern California and teaching private art lessons to all ages.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My specialties include hand-lettering, murals, fluid art, vibrant acrylic paintings, and pet portraits. I’m inspired by space, nature, emotion, and of course, DOGS! I am my best self when I’m covered in paint.
Dedicating my whole heart to every project I work on, I truly care about my clients and want them to be 110% happy with their art! I love creating art that causes the viewer to feel uplifted. When a client has tears of joy upon viewing their painting, it’s the most rewarding feeling. I believe that I can make the world a better place, one brushstroke at a time.
Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
I think the biggest challenge facing artists today is valuing our time and hard work in a competitive market. There is an abundance of cheap art being sold online, and a lot of people are looking for a deal or free work, and it can be hard to compete without devaluing myself. Art is a luxury, and artists should be paid accordingly.
I think it is key to stay true to yourself as an artist and create what you want to create instead of copying others. You will be valued because your work is unique!
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
You can come see my art in person at Shop Small Wednesdays at Chapman Crafted in Old Town Orange, CA. It’s the third Wednesday of every month, so come hangout, I’d love to meet you! You can also view my work online via my website, Etsy shop, Instagram, or Facebook.
You can support my work by purchasing a piece through my Etsy shop or commissioning me to create a custom sign, painting, or mural.
