Today we’d like to introduce you to Marianne Kehoe.
Hi Marianne, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
At the age of 11, I had horrible acne. I spent many years going from dermatologist to dermatologist, took antibiotics for three straight years. This ended up creating a domino effect resulting in Candida and bad gut issues but never curving the acne. At age 20, I started using a treatment with Dermaculture machines. I still get this treatment today, 43 years later. I also give this treatment as my feature service to my clients due to its uniqueness and effective results. I started skincare 27 years ago, working for The Face Place for 14 years. I decided to branch out on my own so that I could bring new treatment to clients that would come from a more holistic approach, working/healing the body from the inside out. I truly believe that there is strong connection between the gut and the skin. All of my services, treatments and products are natural and feed the skin the same way we should feed our gut, by using vitamins, minerals, nutrients, peptides and human stem cells.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Working in Los Angeles where society is an “immediate gratification” mentality, it has been difficult to get people to understand that results from a holistic approach take a bit longer than “instant gratification”. People don’t always understand that outside results are in appearance only and are not truly healed. True healing comes from the inside first and foremost. Another challenge is the fact that people go to a dermatologist first and are given a lot of antibiotics that create more of a break-out and further gut issues. They are also given harsh topicals, which irritate the skin with redness, flaking, etc. This sometimes makes my process take a bit longer to achieve the optimal result of having radiant skin. This being said, patience is a necessity and not everyone understands that.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have a well-rounded approach to health, wellness and skincare, as they are one to me. I am known for having treatments that are unique in the sense that they are not available in every skin studio and help to heal more than just the skin. I am also known for being able to educate my clients one-on-one based on individual needs and circumstances with a whole body awareness. My skin studio has a Sunlighten Infrared Sauna with chrome therapy lighting; this is more than just a typical sauna, as it is a medical device (also used in hospitals for cancer patients) with many health benefits, including ridding the body of toxins, helps with inflammation, increases circulation, gives full benefits of Vitamin D (less the harmful UVA & UVB rays), balances heart rate and blood pressure and is significant in reducing muscle tension and pain management.
It also assists in stress reduction including relief from symptoms of MS, Limes Disease and more. This also strengthens the immune system. After the sauna treatment detoxes the body, I think it is important to fill it back up with needed minerals and that is where my 10 minute Rejuve booth steps in. This booth is unique with its ultra-fine mist that envelops the body while LED lighting excites the ions of the precious metals (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Copper, Zinc and Magnesium to stimulate the skin, improves the immune system with the ionized water that creates the mist. These are just a few of the benefits.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Many years ago, I was seeking a positive approach to day to day life and holistic cures for myself with a health condition. I was given a book by Louise Hay, called “You Can Heal Your Life”. After reading this book, I went to the “Hay House” and have read many of her books and other authors found in her store. This leads me to many seminars, workshops and books on the subject and has brought me to the place I am today, practicing her beliefs.
