Today we’d like to introduce you to Maiah Manser.

Maiah, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I grew up with a single mom in Oregon (and apparently before I can even remember) she always reflects that you couldn’t get me to stop singing or creating. I’ve always felt like I was born, knowing what I wanted to do. When I was 18, I moved to Seattle to go to college for a BFA in Jazz. I dropped out to “get this show on the road” when I literally hopped on three full international tours with Mary Lambert and simultaneously began my solo project. I recently transplanted to LA 2 years ago to be in the thick of the music industry and for a lil sunshine too.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a musician, songwriter, and producer very interested in the human experience. Specifically, I like to use field recording samples as well as stretch the boundaries of my voice as a literal instrument. I grew up playing violin and viola, so my orchestral background has a huge ark in my creative process. It’s the most gratifying when people deeply connect with my work either in a case of pure joy, understanding or to process their own stories.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
Being expected to be really really good at social media.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
You can find my music on any digital platform (Spotify, Apple, etc.) very easily, thanks to my mom and her creative name giving.
