Check Out Lillian Ng’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lillian Ng.

Hi Lillian, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Lillian Victoria, and I’m a coach, a media professional, and a mother. I was raised by a single mother of two. During my childhood, my father abandoned us when I was six years old. Although my mother was our guardian, she was physically and emotionally unavailable for us most of the time. After I became a single mother, I’ve learned that my mom gave us all the love that she could. At the age of 35, I lost everything: My marriage, my career, and I don’t even know who I am anymore.

I was used to living in fear and anxiety. I didn’t know how to live without the agony. As a previous entertainment executive, I found myself in the rat race and living an ego-driven life. I was being defined by the projects I was working on or the people I was associated with. I realized I was dead in the ashes, when I couldn’t answer this question “Who AM I” to myself. That’s when everything in my life started to shift.

In 2018, that was the year I lost everything I thought I was and embarked on a fresh new journey. The experience was traumatic, but the beauty was I walked out from environments that were not in alignment with who I am.

In 2019, I couch surfed for a year, looking for answers, and holding it together as a newly single mother. My son was my inspiration to get back up and rise higher.

In 2020, I started to study myself. I’ve created my vision and purpose in life, with a very strong goal. I also made the decision to follow through and I’ll be using my higher mental facilities to control my environments as I achieve my goals.

2021: I’m focused on creating a positive impact through storytelling and coaching. I’ve come to realize that my goals are impossible to fail, instead of being ashamed of my past, I’ve decided that I walk with my badge of honor of all the scars from my past.

What I’ve learned in life is all storytelling, what we tell ourselves is what will become our reality. We can’t control the past, but we can always create our own ending.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. In the beginning, it was very scary, I struggled in fear, in feeling stuck, I have no family in LA, financial hardship as a single mother. But it all changed when I realized that my way wasn’t working, and I started to study myself and make major changes in my life. That’s when things started to take a turn, when I started to define what I want, who I am, and live life based on my wants.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a coach and a storyteller. I have a passion for guiding and inspiring people to make their quantum leaps and seeing people find a purpose in life. I am proud of unlearning and relearning who I am, being vulnerable, and embracing my scars. I am authentic, I come from the heart. I own up to my flaws and I embrace them. I believe everyone’s story is unique in their own way, and I’m no different than others. I believe this is the time when we need to make human connections, not based on ego–who you are, what you have–but true people connection.

What matters most to you?
Family, health, and the ability to inspire others. My son is my rock to keep going every single day. When I see people light up from our work together, I’m inspired by them. My purpose in life is to make a positive impact on everyone that comes across me.
