Meet Leslie Lluvet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Lluvet.

Leslie, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I was born on January 22, 1990, In Havana, Cuba. Afterwards, I attended Jose Marti where I began drama classes and started to commence a passion for acting. At the age of sixteen, I began to write the story (90 miles) which is a non-fiction about my families journey on a twenty-foot boat through the Caribbean, searching for freedom. I was only four years old holding vivid memories of this excursion. Eventually writing the story with the idea of turning it into a feature film. I’m also in the middle of turning it into a franchise Called 90 miles. Where it will be a book, Television series, and a restaurant along with the movies.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I’m writing a book right now on the journey that I embarked on when I was four years old. I acted on several t.v shows and voiced different characters on podcasts and commercials. My passion right now is getting my movies produces and my book published 90 miles. Also, I’m embarking on my very own restaurant which is part of my franchise called 90 miles. It will be a live music night lounge with authentic Cuban cuisine.

The stereotype of a starving artist scares away many potentially talented artists from pursuing art – any advice or thoughts about how to deal with the financial concerns an aspiring artist might be concerned about?
Don’t settle for anything less than your artwork and what is true for you. Flourish and prosper. Keep going.
