Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristinne Melody.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started singing when I was in elementary school. I attended a school name Roosevelt which is based out of Union City, New Jersey. I joined choir there & within a few days of me joining, I was asked to sing the National Anthem in front of the whole school. The experience was amazing and after receiving such great feedback, I knew that singing was my thing.
As time went on and I got older, I started performing at my high school talent shows, making YouTube videos, Vine was popular then & I had discovered my talent for not only singing but writing as well. What has made my name successful and my views go up would be my freestyle videos that I post on my Instagram’s which get a tremendous amount of views & shares. Now I continue to deliver what the audience loves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One thing I learned about the musical journey is that it can sometimes be overwhelming. Some of my struggles as an artist were the simple fact that I would go weeks without writing or recording because I felt as if no one believed in me. There were also times where I would try and manage being in high school, working a full-time job & just living a teenage life? I wasn’t sure if I was ready.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I am an R&B singer/songwriter & that has been what I have mastered in and have worked on my craft everyday in order to deliver the results I want. I am known for my heartbreak freestyle videos & music. Something I’m most proud of is my ability to write music so flawlessly and being able to share my talents with my siblings who are also into music. I love what I do and what I write but I’m most proud of being able to write music about things in relationships that people are going through, realistic things. That’s what makes me different.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I have a daughter who drives me fault & is my motivation she keeps me grounded. She has shown me the beauty of life & she is my reminder on why I can’t stop.
