Check Out Heaven Lee’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heaven Lee.

Hi Heaven, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I showed an interest in music at a very young age I started singing around town at the age of nine when and where ever I could then I soon realized I had a love for writing whether it was short stories or poetry so that’s when I feel In love with song writing my mom realizing my talent started me off on my musical journey it’s been a Rockies road not having the funds to get the best training I started off with some of the free Community programs free music lessons free acting classes free vocal training I took advantage of things we couldn’t pay for since we didn’t have the money at the time then mom got a better job to help with my career lol we all pretty much slaved my mom and I would clean music studios and in exchange we would get studio time to lay down a track a song I had written my mom and I would trade house keeping for vocal lessons I did what ever it took to get me to where I need to be there were many obstacles in my way and still are at times but I continue to work hard hopeful that someday all my hard work would pay off and my music career would also take off!

When I graduated high at 16, I knew I had To start college right away so I enrolled in the LA film school and got my associates degree in audio engineering and in the meantime, I kept working on my music Entering songwriting contest and winning most not to brag my most recent win was IMSTA festa songwriting contest this is my second win I also won music madness with c2 records Independent able where I won a recording deal but decided not to take it due to certain circumstances in the contract I guess I’m more of a free bird and not a caged animal so to speak I also won a distribution deal with RCA records but couldn’t use it cuz I didn’t have the money to record any of my songs officially some of my Recent accomplishments were being on American idol in 2020 but they never aired my parts lol I also was Recognized at the Namm Tech awards as An up-and-coming artist and songwriter of the year alongside Billie Eilish Herbie Hancock Joni Mitchell, etc. where also Recognized…I have developed quite a following on Instagram 25k.

I also have started a nonprofit organization called the gloves. I would love that cater to the community that are in need. I feel like giving back it’s part of something that dear to my heart even though I don’t have much, I have also dabbled in an acting career which I most recently was the face for Millie Bobby Brown make up line Florence by mills there is so much more to my story I can’t tell it all it would take a book lol I still have a many obstacles in my way such as battling muscular dystrophy but I am hopeful I am strong I keep my head high keep marching towards my goal of someday. Being a respected artist in the music industry both as an artist performer and songwriter. I am also a professional boxer on the LAPD team foothill division and graduated from the Rubys make up academy as a make up artist as well. I guess you could say in my 20 years I’ve lived aged so to speak. If I could give anyone advice it would be to keep keeping on the struggle is real but at the end, it will be peaches! I’m also currently working on my album and looking for investors as well any takers let me know, lol.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road at all; my struggles have been due to financial hardship it cost money to make an album get vocal lessons music lessons dance etc. it’s one payment after the next, not to mention my weight I’m Not a size 0 so I’ve heard that plays a part in it my skin color even its been ruff But I keep climbing that Mountain you think you could never get over someday someone will hear my music and know that I may start I just need the right team to find interest in me from their heart and not their pockets lol.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a 19-year-old singer-songwriter from Los Angeles. I specialize in singing and songwriting. I am known for both. I’m most proud of winning songwriter of the year Twice I guess what would set me aside for most people is that I go to great lengths to get what I want and need such as graduating as a makeup artist at 15 graduating high school at 16 and graduating with associates degree As an audio engineer at 18 I guess that’s what sets me aside from most 19-year-old I thrive from my soul and my spirit won’t let me give up.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me, well I guess I would have to say is my music gives me an outlet to lay down how I feel and what I see all these things that are bottled up in me I get to let them out and it comes out beautiful in a song idea to help heal other people and share with Out telling them in person.
