Today we’d like to introduce you to Gracen & Paris Newton.
Gracen & Paris Newton are a dynamic sibling duo taking Hollywood by storm! They may be little but they are both acting on very BIG shows! Gracen Newton is best known as playing the cute and funny Pug, Rolly, on Disney Channel’s Puppy Dog Pals! He has also appeared in some major shows such as playing Montana in “The Kominsky Method” with Michael Douglas, Grace’s son in “Will & Grace” and himself in ABC’s gameshow “Child Support.” His little sister, Paris Newton, plays Franny Gallagher in the hit Showtime series “SHAMELESS” and is currently filming for their eleventh and final season. Gracen was the first sibling to get into the biz at the young age of 5 years old. He dreamed of being an actor and loved the stage, so he convinced his mom to get him an agent. On his second audition, he booked a national commercial and fell even more in love with acting! After he booked several national commercials and TV shows, his little sister Paris decided she wanted to follow in his footsteps and get into the biz! On her second audition ever, she booked the role of Franny Gallagher and has played the role ever since!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Gracen- Since we both love what we do, it’s a pretty smooth road! Of course, you don’t get every role you go out for but we understand that and enjoy the whole process. We love auditioning- it lets us use our imagination and try out being different characters!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Gracen – I am best known for and proudest of playing Rolly on Puppy Dog Pals and Montana on “The Kominsky Method.” I loved working with Michael Douglas on “The Kominsky Method” and I learned so much from him, so it was an amazing experience! I have also recently worked on three big movies that will be coming out in the next year and I am a series regular on another TV show that will be releasing sometime next year – they just haven’t been announced yet but hopefully I can talk about those soon!
Paris – I am best known and proudest of playing Franny Gallagher on “SHAMELESS.” Franny Gallagher is completely opposite of me in real life so it’s a really fun part to play and I love my TV family!! Make sure to watch season 11, airing now on Sunday nights on Showtime!
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Gracen – In the next five years, I think I see a lot more shows coming out since Hollywood has recently had to slow down because of Covid 19. I am excited to see what will happen in Hollywood once everything can fully start up again!
