Today we’d like to introduce you to Eytan Ribner.
Eytan, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Currently, I’m a singer/songwriter/comedian/selfie photographer who creates music with producer Marty Rifkin (Springsteen, Weird Al, Jewel, Glen Campbell). The music videos for my most recent singles “It’s All About Me” & “Too Many Women” have won awards and have had festival attention all over the world. I just released a new single and video “No More Love Songs” and I’m excited to see where it goes!!
I love making music and music videos, but my story starts way back. My nursery school review noted that “Eytan loves to sing his heart out…” Although I trained as a CPA, I have always been involved in the arts. I spent several semesters at the Art Center College of Design. I trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade and performed stand-up at the Comedy Store and many other venues in LA.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My art has taken many paths; be it photography or music. I enjoy exploring many forms, be it selfies, or travel photos, as well as blues and country music. I travel this road in search of happiness and have often encountered a certain amount of irony along the way.
What do you think it takes to be successful as an artist?
I define success as making lots of money. Since that’s not often the outcome though, making oneself happy and excited about ones work is very gratifying; even if your friends or best ex-friends are critical.
