Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Breen.
Hi Chloe, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Rhinebeck New York and lived right next to the local performing arts center. I was two when I went to my first show there and that was when I knew I wanted to be an actress. Once I got into 8th grade, I moved to Aspen, Colorado where I continued my interest in acting with Theater Aspen. I just graduated from the New York Film Academy where I got my Bachelors in Fine Arts, and now I’m working on finding representation.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely been a rollercoaster of events getting here. I knew I wanted to be an actress since I was a very little girl, so that was always nice to know I had a specific career path, but the difficult part has been actually pursuing the career. It’s a tough business to get into, so I have been trying to make all the connections and right moves!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an actress, specifically for either sitcoms or romance. I love a good romcom and love acting in them as well. I have been in multiple short films like PROXY, Spotted, and Speak Now. PROXY is a crazy thriller drama that we just wrapped a couple of weeks ago. Spotted is also an amazing thriller that I worked on in 2020, and Speak Now is a drama that had a great cast and was so much fun to shoot, we wrapped that in 2020 too, I have also been working on trying to produce and work on my own films this summer. I am most proud of getting recognized for my efforts like when people tell me I am professional on set because I take my job very seriously and it’s nice to know that people don’t take that for granted. I love being able to work with people who do that and I look forward to meeting more amazing filmmakers and actors as my career grows.
What’s next?
My plans for the future, I want to be really good at telling stories, I want to work in the film industry, I want to work with bigger directors, filmmakers, actors. I want to tell more people stories. I plan on doing that by working more on my acting skills by signing up to acting studios in LA, expanding my social media through interacting with my followers more and posting more content consistently, and meeting new people by doing interviews like this and connecting with people on LinkedIn and similar networking sites, as well as working on as many sets as I can. I’ve been interested in producing for a while and if the opportunity arises, I would be happy to take it.
