Check Out Chanel Williams’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanel Williams.

Hi Chanel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello! Thank you for having me. My name is Chanel, I am Director from Long Beach, California. I am self taught filmmaker trying to put love into the world with my creative expression.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road no way. I had many hardships throughout my journey. To name a few, I struggled with homelessness living out of my car. All while attending school and working a job to feed myself. It got to a point where after I got it together, I lost it all over again and had no electricity for over a month. I got two different cars impounded and much more. All has shaped me to who I am now.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Sci-Fi and Action Director. What I am most proud of so far is my latest film Pinky’s Dream. What sets me apart is that I don’t believe in focusing on problems only on finding solutions. I do what it takes to get the job done right.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Thank you, that’s a great question. Luck does not play any role in my life. To that end, I do not believe in good or bad luck. Anything good that has happened in my life has been because I have worked for it. The bad stuff or “bad luck” that has happened to me has served as a guide. It has shown me that you must ALWAYS lead with love and have gratitude for everything. I feel like it’s a blessing to be able to breath on this planet so why would I complain about “bad luck” it’s preparing me for what’s to come.
