Chayanika, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Spending time with my favorite people and being myself and at ease and comfortable bringing me immense joy lately
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m originally from Assam, India, and now based in Los Angeles California, where I’m pursuing my journey as an actress, singer-songwriter, composer, and dancer. My creative path began with Indian classical music at a young age, and over the years, I’ve expanded into storytelling through performance, music, and visual art. I’m deeply passionate about bringing emotion, culture, and authenticity to everything I create whether it’s on screen, on stage, or in the studio. For me, it’s not just about performing; it’s about connecting, evolving, and leaving something meaningful behind.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
Life itself taught me some valuable lessons and experiences that taught me the most about work
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There were many times when I felt close to giving up. Honestly, in some instances, I did give up, and in others, I persisted. I am proud of my choices; the places where I decided to give up were not serving their purpose. I learned from those experiences and moved on to do better.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
To a large extent, yes, the public version of me reflects the real me. However, I am also a private person who prefers to be exclusive only around my favorite people in a small circle.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, always no matter what!
