Lyudmyla Grytsyna shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Good morning Lyudmyla, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Who are you learning from right now?
Honestly? I’m learning from my three little gurus at home – my kids. They’re masters of presence, creativity, and emotional expression! One moment they’re teaching me patience, the next they’re reminding me to breathe deeply and let go. It’s like living in a never-ending mindfulness retreat… with snacks on the floor – a daily lesson in flexibility off the mat, staying present in chaos, and finding peace even when the house looks like a small tornado passed through.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Lyudmyla Grytsyna – a mom of three, yoga therapist, and a sound healer who believes balance isn’t something we find, but something we continuously create. Through my brand, Myla Yoga, I guide people toward presence and calm using yoga, Ayurveda, and sound therapy.
My journey has evolved with motherhood. Raising three kids while running a wellness business has made me passionate about realistic self-care, the kind that fits between school drop-offs, work emails, and dinner time. That’s also what inspired my latest project, Vitality Workplace, where my partner and I bring Intelligent Movement and Structural Reprogramming into corporate settings to help employees restore posture, stay more focused, and genuinely energized during their day.
Whether it’s a mom finding a moment of peace, or a team learning to pause and breathe together, my mission is the same – to help people remember that calm is not a luxury, it’s a practice.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people is disconnection, when we stop listening, stop being present, or get lost in the rush of doing. In families, friendships, or workplaces, it often happens quietly, through stress and lack of time.
What restores those bonds is presence, the simple act of slowing down enough to really see and really hear one another. In yoga and sound healing, that’s what we practice: coming back to awareness, compassion, and breath. The same tools that help us find inner balance also help us rebuild connection with others.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me humility and surrender, lessons success could never teach. It showed me that growth doesn’t always look graceful; sometimes it’s messy, raw, and uncertain. Through pain, I learned compassion, for myself and for others, and I realized that peace isn’t the absence of struggle, but the ability to stay open through it.
Yoga and motherhood both taught me that even in moments of exhaustion or doubt, there’s wisdom waiting to be heard. Success celebrates what we achieve; suffering reveals who we truly are.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The biggest lie is that balance looks flawless. Real balance happens in chaos, when you’re grounded even as life swirls around you. And no, wellness isn’t a spa day; it’s how you meet yourself in the middle of a messy Tuesday. It’s a breath between tasks, a few mindful minutes before the next meeting, or choosing kindness toward yourself when things don’t go as planned.
Another myth is that wellness is a luxury. True well-being isn’t something you buy; it’s something you practice. You can find peace sitting in traffic if you know how to come back to your breath.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What pain do you resist facing directly?
The pain I resist is the quiet ache of not being enough, a shadow that follows even the strongest hearts. But every time I face it, I remember: I was never meant to be perfect, only present.
