An Inspired Chat with Bethany Myers of Huntington Beach

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Bethany Myers. Check out our conversation below.

Bethany, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Have you stood up for someone when it cost you something?
Standing up for my stepchildren is an interesting dance that sometimes leaves me a little dizzy. It has cost me long nights of sleep, to say the least. Navigating the narratives that surround being a stepmother has been difficult. Do I stay in my lane and let my husband do all the parenting—is that considered “evil”? Do I show up even when it hurts? Even when I feel like a stranger in my own home?

And yet, the special moments that weave our blended family together remind me why I said “yes” to my husband on our wedding day—and why I continue saying yes each day as we build our family. It really is worth every step—every pirouette and pivot I take to love them and advocate for their well-being.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Bethany Myers, and I am the owner and founder of Content Social Media Queen. From the very beginning, my journey has been rooted in transparency, authenticity, and community. In fact, when it came time to building my brand identity and creating my logo, I did something most business owners wouldn’t dare—I invited my entire social circle to be part of the process. They offered input, shared feedback, and helped shape the visual identity of my brand. It was like pulling back the curtain in The Wizard of Oz. That openness is who I am at my core: I believe in letting people in, in building together.

I have always worn my heart on my sleeve. Clients know that when they work with me, they get honesty without pretense. I believe in clear boundaries and bold truths: if I can help you, I will pour myself into the work until it shines. If I can’t, I won’t waste your time. I am meticulous—some call it perfectionism, I call it honoring my craft.

Before entrepreneurship, my life was rooted in performance. Acting, singing, and the stage taught me how to connect deeply, how to listen, and how to make words come alive. That background shaped the way I lead today: personable, dynamic, and unafraid to take up space. Clients often say that I don’t feel like an outsider joining their brand, I feel like family, an extension of their own voice and vision.

And I am never alone in this. Content Social Media Queen is more than me; it is a network of brilliant, creative people I trust. I hire contractors and employees who embody the same values I hold: integrity, excellence, and heart. Together we form a constellation of smart, strong, extraordinary talent. My business is the sum of all these parts—the people I love, the voices I trust, the community that has shaped me.

This is what makes Content Social Media Queen different. It isn’t simply about growing accounts or running campaigns. It is about building something alive – something transparent, deeply human, and impossible to replicate.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
There was a huge rock outside my home. In the morning as the sun lifted and the first rays spilled across its surface, the stone grew warm beneath the light. I would bring a stack of empty pages and a sharpened pencil with me, climbing onto the steadfast surface to write. Just as the world awakened from the darkness of the night, so did my thoughts. My emotions. My energy. I felt untouchable. Strong. Alive.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Constantly. I miss the tender moments of childhood. I miss my Father’s voice. I miss every alive animal and person who I can no longer see or kiss. I have a tendency to lean toward nostalgia in my every day life. The struggle is nagging and painful, and hard to handle.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Being extraordinary. Making an impact. Being a woman of my word. Providing comfort and a safe space for others…particularly, if I receive a spiritual nudge or premonition about someone/something. I will share it with that person in hopes that it provides more clarity or comfort in their life. Eerily nearly every time they wonder “how I knew that.” My closest friends would say God matters deeply to me, that I draw strength from nature, and that animals hold a sacred place in my heart—sometimes even more than people. To me, they are reminders of innocence, connection, and truth.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I was a savvy businesswoman who, though often pulled by nostalgia and the ache of wanting to relive the past, always kept my eyes on the future. That I built something lasting: a business that could live and breathe beyond me, one my daughter could inherit, reimagine, or steward in her own way.

That I broke generational curses of domestic violence, of unhealthy family patterns – and chose instead to create new legacies of strength and safety for family. That I honored my heart, listened to my own voice, and spoke up when it mattered.

That I challenged norms, went against the grain, and lived with courage that made room for others to do the same.
