An Inspired Chat with Alex Cole of Burbank

We recently had the chance to connect with Alex Cole and have shared our conversation below.

Alex , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first ninety minutes of my day are sacred and revolve around two pillars: mindful presence and gratitude.
As soon as I wake up, I don’t immediately reach for my phone. Instead, I dedicate myself to a brief moment of mindfulness: for a few minutes, I feel grateful for the new day, thanking it for the opportunities ahead and focusing on the positive things in my life. It’s a simple yet powerful exercise that sets an optimistic tone for the entire day.
Then, about 45 minutes of pure calm follow. I make my first cup of coffee and sit in a quiet corner. This is my meditation session: it’s not formal, but consists of slowly sipping the coffee, listening to music (often instrumental or jazz), and enjoying the silence. It’s a moment to “enjoy the present,” relaxing my mind before the day kicks off.
The final half hour is dedicated to the actual “getting ready.” I take a shower, get dressed, and check my schedule for the day. Thanks to the initial quiet time, I approach these preparations with energy and without rushing, maintaining the sense of balance and mindful presence I’ve cultivated.
In summary, my first 90 minutes are a ritual for transitioning from a state of sleep to one of conscious action, setting the day to a rhythm of calm productivity.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello readers! I’m Alex Cole, a high-energy Rock Musician and Composer known internationally for my cutting-edge “POWER-ROCK” sound. If you love the massive riffs and raw energy of classic icons like AC/DC and Ted Nugent, my music is for you.
My brand is built on a fusion of two seemingly different worlds: the explosive energy of rock ‘n’ roll and a deep commitment to spiritual well-being and personal growth.
• On Stage & Industry Praise: Originally from Italy, I quickly established myself in the US, becoming a staple at legendary venues like the Whisky a Go Go. My dynamic performances and compositions have earned high praise from industry legends:
• Ted Nugent has had me open for him on seven concerts and commented: “This young Alex Cole rocks the house everynight! Keep your eyes and ears out for Alex Cole. He is the real McCoy!”
• Bill Siddons, former manager of The Doors, specifically praised my stage presence and ability to captivate an audience while opening for Nugent at the Canyon Club in Pasadena in July 2019.
• Adam Mitchell, a songwriter for KISS, Chicago, and Olivia Newton-John, commented on my song “Chain Reaction,” saying, “Fantastic! Great playing, well recorded, an interesting guitar lick.”
My 2019 album, “Bad Boy Rocker,” and its music video, which won “Best Rock Video 2022” at the California Music Video & Film Awards, represent the core of my dynamic, unadulterated rock sound.
• Beyond the Stage: What truly makes my story unique is my work as a Personal Growth Coach and Life Transformer. I’m the creator of the Soul Refresh Quantum Project (SRQP), a program that uses meditation and reprogramming techniques to help individuals overcome emotional blocks and achieve their potential. I even released a sound healing album, “Tibetan Singing Bowls – Healing Sound Bath,” showing my dedication to holistic health.
In short, I’m working to prove that you can achieve a state of calm productivity and spiritual balance while still maintaining the raw, vital energy needed to live life—and play rock ‘n’ roll—at maximum volume. I look forward to connecting with readers who are ready to unleash their inner power, whether that’s through a powerful guitar riff or a moment of deep gratitude!

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
My artistic journey started long before I picked up an electric guitar in Los Angeles; it began when I was just three years old.
I was immediately immersed in a wide range of music thanks to my parents’ vinyl collection, which featured everyone from Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson to Italian legends like Adriano Celentano. This diverse musical environment instilled a deep appreciation for various styles, laying the foundation for my future “POWER-ROCK” sound.
By adolescence, I was already collaborating and playing in clubs with established artists like Gabriele Lorenzi of “Formula 3 with Lucio Battisti” and performing at renowned venues such as Renato Converso’s legendary Milan cabaret “La Corte dei Miracoli.”
My artistic training was intense and multifaceted:
• Acting: I honed my acting skills at prestigious theater schools, studying cinematic method with maestros Raul Manso and Andrea Dalla Zanna, under whose direction I toured with Cervantes’ “Il Teatrino delle Meraviglie,” performing at prestigious theaters including the “Franco Parenti” in Milan. I also gained experience in television, acting in programs for RAI, Mediaset, and Sky, and even created a sitcom, “2 a Caso.”
• Musical Education: I pursued formal musical training, studying vocals with Francesco Rapaccioli and Paola Folli (who has worked with prominent Italian artists like Elio e le Storie Tese and Mina). I specialized in electric guitar under the tutelage of Enrico Santulli (of Gruppo Italiano) and Claudio Bazzari. I further expanded my expertise by completing courses in “Computer Music” and specializing in “Logic Pro X” for music production.
Before embarking on my American adventure, I spent years building a reputation in the Italian rock scene. I shared the stage with notable artists including Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), Adam Bomb, Rhino Bucket, and influential Italian rockers like Pino Scotto and Maurizio Solieri.
My original compositions began gaining national recognition in 2012 when “Call Of The Wild” and “Bad Love” earned me a spot on “Rock Hard Magazine’s” compilation CD. That momentum continued as I reached the finals of the “Emergenza Rock Festival” at the Alcatraz in Milan, eventually culminating in a headlining performance at the “Isola Rock Festival” in 2014, following extensive touring throughout Italy.
These years of dedication—from classical stage work to hard rock guitar mastery—were essential in shaping the energetic, versatile artist I am today.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and truly started using it as power when I realized that discipline and self-care were the ultimate forms of rock ‘n’ roll rebellion. My transformation wasn’t just about looking better; it was about conquering the mental and emotional pain that came from not performing at my peak, both in life and on stage.
This shift became tangible through my commitment to a healthy lifestyle, which now fuels the high-energy life I lead:
Unlike the stereotypical “rock and roll lifestyle,” I prioritize healthy habits to maintain peak performance, a discipline I now use to master my body and my mind.
To keep up with my demanding stage presence, I discovered the intense power of jump rope training. As an endorser of Crossrope, jump rope training became my unique form of meditation. It allows me to burn calories, build lean muscle, and completely clear my mind for a 40-minute stretch, following the motto “Do The Thing” championed by the “Jump Rope Dudes.”
To further enhance my strength and physical capacity, I have integrated my training with kettlebell lessons under the guidance of masters Fabio Zonin and Zar Horton of StrongFirst Italy and USA. This combined approach of rope training and kettlebells is how I maintain excellent physical condition to express my energy to the fullest on stage.
Recognizing that performance starts with what you put into your body, I revamped my diet. After discovering Dr. Berg’s informative approach to nutrition, I ditched sugary indulgences and adopted a Keto/Intermittent Fasting approach. This transformation resulted in a profound shift that went beyond physical changes, granting me:
• Increased energy
• Improved memory
• A consistently positive outlook
Dr. Eric Berg recognized this significant change and even shared my transformation on his website. This commitment is the cornerstone of my success, acting as a form of discipline that keeps me positive, inspiring, and successful. I now serve as an example for fans and friends seeking to achieve their own health and performance goals, proving that you can rock hard without the “belly beer” lifestyle.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I am much more than just a rocker: I am a true transformer of lives, deeply committed to personal growth and spiritual well-being. My entire public brand is built on expressing this commitment through diverse channels: music, coaching, teaching, and sharing concrete tools for inner change.
This duality allows me to connect with people on multiple levels: I bring the focus and discipline of a high-performance rock star to my coaching, and I bring the deep passion and emotionality of a healer to my music.
My work in personal development is where I channel my discipline and insight into helping others overcome their own inner obstacles:
• Soul Refresh Quantum Project (SRQP): I created this powerful program to help people overcome emotional blocks, limiting beliefs, and negative patterns rooted in the subconscious. Through meditation, visualization, and reprogramming, the SRQP leads participants toward greater self-awareness and profound transformation.
• “Transform and Manifest” Course: This journey teaches individuals how to manifest their desires, rediscover their personal power, and shape their own reality.
• Sound Healing: My passion for spiritual well-being is expressed through immersive Tibetan singing bowl sessions and the album “Tibetan Singing Bowls – Healing Sound Bath,” which offers a unique meditative experience to promote deep relaxation.
• “Schiocco di Luce” (“Spark of Light”) YouTube Channel: This platform is dedicated to exploring spirituality and well-being, offering a valuable resource for personal growth and deeper understanding.
The powerful Testimonials from clients—who speak of feeling a “lion’s strength,” reaching a “hypnotic state” due to my charisma, and overcoming limiting beliefs—validate that the transformational energy I share is genuine and impactful.
Even my diverse experiences in Los Angeles, from showcasing my performance abilities with the theater companies to exploring entrepreneurial ventures, demonstrate my core traits: adaptability, discipline, concentration, and naturalness in whatever I pursue.
The public version of me—the musician and the guide is the real me because both roles are simply different manifestations of the same driving energy: a mission to live fully, perform at peak capacity, and inspire others to do the same.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
I’m continuing to live in the present moment with the fullness, gratitude, and conscious connection that I am working toward every day.
I already live a dream: I wanted to become a rocker and I didn’t miss the chance to go to America to pursue this dream. I met amazing people, recorded great songs, and built my Alex Cole freedom energy to be the best I could be in the freedom of being the real me.
My regret would be losing the profound understanding I’ve gained in recent years: the vital importance of living in the present and enjoying every moment.
The goal is to maintain the coherence of the heart connected with the brain and feel as one with the Universe, because we are energy. We are like antennae capable of receiving and transmitting energies.
From our heart—which generates an electromagnetic field known as the aura that is electrically (60 times) and magnetically (5,000 times) much more powerful than the brain—we radiate energy of love, joy, and gratitude. This energy, in turn, returns to us, further amplifying love, joy, and gratitude.
My greatest regret would be to stop managing and enjoying these energies, which are the key to creating a rich and fulfilling life. I want to continue to be the conductor of this energetic flow, consciously creating a life of maximum impact and fulfillment.
