Today we’d like to introduce you to Zee N
Hi Zee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up as an immigrant and first-generation South Asian girl, I was taught the importance of education and hard work early on. I started my career as a lawyer, eager to prove myself and climb the corporate ladder. I quickly realized that while producing great work was important, navigating corporate life also required building relationships, cultivating a personal brand, and knowing when to advocate for myself.
After 12 years of experience, I transitioned from legal to business operations, eventually moving into product management. Along the way, I’ve launched global products, and managed multimillion-dollar projects. But what really shaped me was the realization that women in corporate settings, especially ambitious women like me, often struggle to balance career growth with maintaining their unique identities. I started my social media brand, playfully named “Hot, Smart, Corporate”, as a way to bridge this gap—helping busy professional women thrive at work, use AI tools to simplify their lives, and embrace their personal style through it all!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road—being a woman in legal and corporate spaces came with its challenges. I often struggled with imposter syndrome, feeling like I didn’t belong or had to prove my worth. As the only South Asian woman in the room, I felt pressure to tone down my style, personality, and cultural identity to fit in. With no guidance on navigating the corporate ladder, I had to figure out workplace politics and career growth on my own. Seeking out mentors and advocates made all the difference, and their support inspired me to now do the same for other women.
On the “Hot, Smart, Corporate” side, balancing my corporate career with building this brand has definitely been overwhelming at times. Content creation takes energy, and there are moments when juggling both feels like too much. But when I connect with professional women like myself—whether through a direct message or a comment from someone who says my advice helped them—it makes it all worth it. I’ve found a supportive community of women online who uplift and encourage each other, and that sense of connection keeps me motivated to continue growing the brand.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My social media content specializes in blending career advice, corporate fashion, and AI/tech tools to empower busy professional women. What sets me apart is that I’m like the tech-savvy big sister who can make complex things—like mastering workplace politics or using AI to save time—feel approachable and fun.
I’m most proud of building a movement that inspires women to see that they don’t have to choose between being smart and stylish, ambitious and relatable. From apps that make work life easier to sharing career hacks, my goal is to make professional growth exciting and achievable for my audience.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m excited about the future of Hot, Smart, Corporate and all the ways it can continue to grow. It started as a fun side project—a space where I could share corporate tips, personal stories, and my love for fashion and tech.
Now, it’s grown into something much bigger. I’ve realized how much of a need there is for resources that help women navigate the corporate world in a practical, approachable way and just feel seen.
In the next year, I plan to expand the resources I offer—creating tools, guides, and products that make life easier for professional women. One example is my Hot, Smart, Corporate Starter Pack, which includes templates and tips to help women track their achievements, negotiate raises, optimize their LinkedIn profiles, and stay organized.
I’m also focused on sharing how AI can simplify day-to-day work and personal life. I want women to feel empowered by technology, not intimidated by it, and to see how it can help them work smarter, not harder.
I’m also looking forward to collaborating with brands that share my mission of empowering ambitious women. Whether it’s through fashion, tech, or productivity tools, I want to work with brands that align with my vision and help my audience feel their best and do their best.
Ultimately, this is about more than just products—it’s about building a movement. I want to create a global community where corporate women feel connected, seen, and equipped to succeed. This is just the beginning for the Hot, Smart, Corporate movement, and I’m excited to keep growing this community.
