Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
To begin with, I am where I am today by the GRACE of GOD. Not so long ago, in 2022, I experienced a severe allergic reaction after unknowingly eating a dish that contained peanuts. Once the effect started kicking in, my lungs began to swell up. Letting little-to-no air flow pass through. My reaction was SO severe that when the ambulance arrived, I walked to them with my back bent over due to the pressure my lungs experienced from a lack of air. After my mom and I got in the ambulance, me on a stretcher and her by my side, my body was dying. And a little bit after, I passed out. This continued on for a while, yet as I was in the spirit, I saw satan, sitting at a table, and in front of him, the book of death. I began saying these affirmations of “I AM FORGIVEN”, “I AM REDEEMED”, “I AM DELIVERED”, and “I AM SET FREE”. Then GOD showed me something, and blew HIS Breath of Life back into me. I began coughing very hard and passed out once more. When I awoke, my mom, sitting by my side, asked if I was okay. And I couldn’t even answer her with words…So I wrote it on her phone: “I am gold (I meant to say good) because I have GOD”.
While in the ambulance, I also received a revelation that “THE ONLY THING that matters is living for GOD”. And it is a gift to say, I am still here. Despite satan wanting me to die years ago, GOD had a plan for my life, and my mission, is to complete it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To answer this question, no. The path GOD has me on has not been smooth at all. Some days are harder than others, yet through it all, GOD has allowed me to make it through.
One struggle that has made my road rocky includes walking GOD’s path. To walk HIS path is INDEED a challenge. It’s not just a “Sunday morning” routine; it’s an everyday thing. 24 hours of the day, all devoted to living for GOD. Yet, walking HIS path is very worth it. So, even though I go through these temporary struggles, HE is my one thing. HE is everything I need.
Another struggle that has really challenged me is the formulation of my first product, Blessed Beautifully Moisturizing Hair Cream. This hair cream took years for me to get. I would even stay up late at night trying recipes that I thought would work, yet didn’t. However, this struggle did not continue for long. After many years of failure, GOD gave me victory in the fall of 2023. HE gave me the recipe that helped nourish, replenish, and grow me and my family’s hair! In conclusion to this question, though the road has not been smooth, GOD always helps me make it through my struggles.
We’ve been impressed with Blessed Beautifully, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
To begin with, I do believe one of GOD’s plans for my life is to pursue the business HE gave me, Blessed Beautifully. Blessed Beautifully is a black-owned hair and body care business created to help people Glow and Grow in GOD. All of our products are handcrafted with 100% natural, organic, plant-based ingredients. Helping people to embrace the natural beauty GOD has gifted them with, using plant-based products that benefit their overall body.
My goal with Blessed Beautifully is to spread the Gospel! On each of our products, there is a verse from the Bible. One verse that I hold dear is Matthew 13:31-32. This verse says, “Another parable put HE (JESUS) forth unto them, saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.”
Moreover, a few factors that really set Blessed Beautifully apart from most hair and body care brands are the fact that it is Faith-based, teen-owned, and black-owned.
With each of our products, we aim to give people a natural alternative to harmful everyday cosmetics. So, instead of constantly using products that do not deliver as promised or damage the gifts (hair and skin) GOD has given you, our goal is to help restore, replenish, and repair those GOD-given gifts.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along this journey is that “the only thing that matters is living for GOD”.
Though there are many paths I can take in life, ONLY ONE leads to life. And that is through JESUS CHRIST.
When I walk GOD’s path, I walk in my true purpose. The REAL reason to why I am here on earth.
