Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Jara

Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley California. Both my parents are immigrants, mom from Mexico and dad from Peru. In middle school while visiting the orthodontist, I became really interested in dentistry. After graduating High School I attended a Registered Dental Assisting program to get a good feel for the profession I was choosing. I fell in love and found my calling. I began working for a Pediatric dentist in West Hollywood bordering Beverly Hills as a RDA. It was such a unique experience to work for the dentist of many young actors and he even worked on set for Full House. I was inspired to say the least. My hunger to learn more about dentistry grew quickly. Every chance I was given, I’d take continued education courses. I knew I had to finish school and become a Registered Dental Hygienist. Because I had already started my family with my. husband. I chose to go the community college route because financially it worked out best for me. As a working mom I took my pre requisite classed at night.After several years of night classes it was time. I applied and was accepted to the West Los Angeles College Dental Hygiene program in Culver City CA. They gave me the opportunity to attend clinic in UCLA, VA hospitals in the greater Los Angeles and many volunteering events. One highlight from my years at WLAC was to have been interviewed by Vice President Joe Biden in 2015, he later extended an invitation to visit the White House when Barack Obama was President. Of course I went! After I graduated and received by credentials to practice dental hygiene, I was presented with several work opportunities in Beverly Hills CA. To me this was unheard of, I never had to apply to any jobs because they were all waiting for me. I knew that my networking of 8 years in dentistry had everything to do with it and was truly astonished to learn the power it had. I imagined what a little bit more networking and getting my name out there could do more for me and my career. I quickly learned that there was an untapped social media presence in dentistry and worked hard to brand myself as “The Beverly Hills Hygienist”. I have had the blessing to work with many celebrities, pro athletes, and down right normal people and have been providing quality dental hygiene appointments. I review medical history, screen for oral cancer, create a unique oral hygiene regimens for my patients amongst many things. And since I branded myself on Instagram, I work as a content creater for select companies that I use and trust like Philips Sonicare, Orascoptic and more.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth, I had a rough beginning as many stories start this way. I am the eldest of 3 and my parents were hard working but lacked the guidance for my career. They pushed me to be my best, but I had to look for help or research almost everything. I married my high school sweetheart and started having children early at age 20. Having the responsibility of a child did not give me much freedom to go to school full time. Regardless of the struggle, staying consistent with school even if it was part time helped me achieve my dreams. We had 2 more children after I graduated Dental Hygiene school, it is always a struggle to work full time, work on content creation while being a wife and mother. But I would like to say its a good struggle. Nothing good comes easy and I choose to live with happiness and fulfillment.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Dental Hygienist in Beverly Hills. With years of expertise under my belt, I specialize in crafting personalized home oral hygiene routines for my patients, ensuring their smiles radiate confidence and health. I have the blessing to have worked with many celebrities over the span of 17 years and use the latest technology in dentistry. I am a proud Latina in Healthcare and like to inspire aspiring dental professionals. I am a social media influencer with 15K followers that posts about oral health tips, the latest dental products, work insights, daily life, uplifting vibes and everything else health. I work with brands to showcase their products and enjoy content creation. I am most proud of being able to balance work like, social media and being a mom/wife.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was driving through downtown, and Pacific Coast Highway. The city looked so grand and inspired me to be a part of a great city.
