Hi Alexandria, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Dog training was never in my deck of cards at the end of high school or ever for the matter. I was actually studying to be a financial advisor however I had gotten into photography and purchased my first dog from an Australian Shepherd breeder out in Santa Maria. It was at the start of getting my very first dog of my own that I grew a love and passion for dog training. I met a few people along the way of this trainer journey but came to the conclusion that nothing is better than having your own business despite its hardships and challenges. I knew ideally I wanted to change people’s lives through their dogs by minimizing their struggles and work towards their ultimate goals. Thankfully we are here thriving and improving lives one companion at a time thanks to the inspiration of my very own, Nuke.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Luckily it has been a smooth road. Of course owning your own business comes with sacrifice, responsibility and less sleep. However, nothing is more of a reward than seeing my clients smile when they’re able to enjoy things they’ve dreamed of with their dogs that had been a challenge before.

As you know, we’re big fans of Wild Tails LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Wild Tails is a dog training and boarding home for dogs. What we do & specialize in is teach dogs basic to advanced obedience skills such as : teaching dogs how to walk beside you on leash, how to remain neutral in public /around other dogs, or how to recall off leash at park/hikes. We also have boarding dogs who stay with us while their parents are away. At Wild Tails we do not operate in a facility, we operate within the comforts of our home 24/7 11. Brand wise we are proud to have created a cozy home and space that eases the mind of our clients knowing their dogs are safe and comfortable whether they are in training or just here for a few nights for board. We have also brought in a few rescues as fosters and found them all homes thanks to our small community of followers who tune in and push hard to bring them the attention they deserve. We are so blessed and for that we are really proud. We look forward to doing more rescue work in the future!

How do you think about happiness?
Being an entrepreneur makes me happy. To wake up in the morning and see the dogs everyday makes me happy. I have my own community of clients that talk to me on a day to day basis and talking to them truly makes me smile. Caring & Training dogs daily is my everyday ritual that I am beyond thankful for. It makes me happy seeing each dog’s progress, client progress, or simply just watching over our boarding dogs have fun in the yard or pool like it’s a home because that’s truly what we wanted to create for them, a comforting & fun home away from home – In addition, it makes me happy seeing my clients happy because it’s a reminder that I am making a difference in their life and most importantly the dog’s life.
