Today we’d like to introduce you to Shay Wyatt

Hi Shay , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Slay With Shay initially start off as a beauty brand. I sold an array of products online during the pandemic for 2 years. It was a rewarding but stressful process that taught me so much about entrepreneurship.

I’ve always been a makeup enthusiast but I doubted myself when it came to doing makeup on others. As Slay With Shay (the beauty brand) started to phase out. I had a lot of ladies asking me if i did makeup. I finally stopped doubting myself and took my first client in February 2022 and I’ve been blessed to be booked ever since.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Providing a service that’s a WANT and not a NEED comes with its challenges. I went weeks, even months without any clients, but during those times I stayed motivated. I remained consistent, teachable and constantly work on improving my skills and I believe it has and will continue to pay off.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a makeup artist servicing the greater Los Angeles area. I specializing in my Signature Soft Glam, which is always what I believe I am known for. I am most proud of being able to build my incredible clientele from absolutely no one to what it is now. I believe my energy is what sets me apart from others. I strive to make my clients feel comfortable, and at ease when they’re in my chair.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love how culturally diverse LA is.

I hate the traffic. What’s the saying? “LA is an hour away from LA.” Lol
