Inspiring Conversations with Max Levenstein of Rove Charging

Today we’d like to introduce you to Max Levenstein

Hi Max, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story starts here in Southern California. I was raised not far from where my family and I live now in the South Bay area. I went to the University of Michigan and, after working in Chicago, moved back to complete my MBA at UCLA.

I began my career with Watt Investment Partners, a commercial real estate developer and investor in Santa Monica. A few years later, a personal contact who was working on a new project in the EV space approached me. That company later became Rove, and I was one of the first handful of teammates to join. The rest is history.

I’ve been with Rove for the past three years, growing the team, the opportunity, and personally a family.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think it’s safe to say that it’s been a little of both.

When you are working on something new, it starts with an idea. It’s a great idea, and others agree. But, to bring that idea to fruition and create something you can share with others, you must first solve all the problems along the way. Thousands of questions need to be asked, from what makes the perfect property to which ways the doors should swing.

Working through each and every little detail has certainly been a challenge.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Imagine a public charging center with all the amenities every EV driver has been dreaming about: dozens of ultra-fast chargers, a 24/7 indoor lounge with clean restrooms, a convenient market with quality customer service, nighttime security guards, and plenty of trash cans.

Well, that dream will soon be a reality.

Rove full-service charging centers are poised to be the preferred charging experience in the United States. With 40 of the most advanced chargers and sought-after onsite amenities, it can uniquely serve exponentially more cars than the average urban public charging stations with an equally impressive customer experience.

At Rove’s first center in Santa Ana (opening soon), drivers will enjoy:
● 40 DC fast chargers
● ReCharge by Gelson’s Fresh Market
● Indoor and outdoor seating
● Free Wi-Fi
● Eco-friendly car wash
● On-site security
● Pet relief area
● Clean restrooms
● Complimentary car vacuums

We developed Rove to address almost every pain point EV drivers have experienced with public charging. We look forward to being a part of the solution and attracting more people to the benefits of EV ownership.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As a child, I was always curious. I enjoyed understanding why and how things happened. It’s an underrated skill to carry with you. I was lucky to have a close-knit group of friends who shared similar interests in math, science, and band.

People who knew me then and now would also describe me as hardworking. Even at a young age, I knew I wanted to do something meaningful and have been focused, even then, on how to achieve that.
