Life & Work with David Eizi

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Eizi.

Hi David, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers. 
I have been writing songs since I was in middle school. I started using GarageBand on my phone, thinking it was a game. I did many rock/metal covers there and my first songs. When I went to college in Los Angeles, I was lucky enough to find people who liked and believed in the music I was writing. In 2022, we became a 6-piece Power Metal band called Rædiant. There were many line-ups in these two years, but I believe our current one is the best of all. Although our school is mainly focused on Pop music, everyone turns to see and listen to us each time we have a show. They even use Rædiant as a promo for the college. We played some shows outside our school in bars and some festivals, but this year, we are focused on recording and releasing our music. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The hardest part of being in a 6-piece band is the time. Most of us go to college and work at the same time. It’s complicated to find a time that accommodates everyone to practice during the week. It’s worse when we have to find time to go record at the studio. However, we are professional, and we manage to get time even when it seems impossible. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Rædiant is a Power Metal band. This style of metal is epic, mystic, legendary, mythical, heroic, and all the D&D adjectives that you can think of. The vocals are clean and operatic for moments. The guitars are shredding all the time. The drums constantly use a double kick drum. The keyboards add that magical sound that, most of the time, defines the genre. We’re known for our melodic music. Our anthemic choruses always resonate in our listeners’ heads, and the stories of fantasy in the lyrics always catch their attention. 

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising about Rædiant could be our background. The band was formed by people from all around the world like Delaware, Massachusetts, California, Mexico, and Peru. We all met in college in Los Angeles.
