Today we’d like to introduce you to Shunta Hutchins.
Hi Shunta, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my business after the onset of COVID-19 in 2020. I wanted to do something in the community that would help people find their happiness, something that would give people a reason to smile. My photobooth business has allowed me to meet new people as well as give the gift of smiling in many ways. Whether it be a birthday party or a homegoing service, my clients leave their event with a reason to smile. I’ve made it to success with the support of my family and friends. Word of mouth has been my most valuable source.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has its pros and cons, but it hasn’t been the worst. My most difficult time was during my opening year 2020. Covid 19 was on the rise, and everyone was at a social distance. However, during that time it allowed me to learn my business and create new ideas for the clients. The struggle was gaining clientele during the pandemic. I managed to keep going, and now my clientele has risen to at least 60 percent of where I’d like to be. I’m still finding new ways to reach clients and have my PhotoBooth at different venues.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As the CEO of Love Life Photo Booths LA, I love to create. I love to stand out from my competitors. I find my business very different from others as I like to incorporate designs and themes that matches the event decor. I customize my events, and I make my clients feel special. My clients leave their event with a special photo album book of every picture the guest took. It allows them to go back and see memories from their event that they never knew took place. I’m mostly proud that I can customize my PhotoBooth software on my own. I do not have to pay a third party to customize my overlays or attract screens. I go to the party or event looking like I was a part of the event. I cherish those moments.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
My advice is to network in more ways than one. Don’t limit yourself to social media. Get out in the community and advertise your business. Volunteer in the community and find out your community needs. A word goes a long way when you share your ideas. Don’t be shy; let your little light shine!
