Today we’d like to introduce you to Sue Reveche.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’ve always had a passion for art and design, ever since I was a little girl. I remember watching Who’s the Boss? and wanting to grow up to be like Angela Bower, running an ad agency.
I worked for the City of Long Beach, Department of Health and Human Services while attending CSULB taking graphic design classes. I produced several brochures and various outreach materials and maintained the department website. I wanted to venture off into private industry, I left a secure job only to be laid off 3 months later. I was fortunate enough to be hired back by the City of Long Beach as a consultant.
I knew I wanted to continue to work with programs and organizations which served the community. I started with 2 clients, and by word of mouth I started to take on more clients from Pasadena, Orange County, and San Francisco. I have been so amazed and blessed by the phone calls and referrals I have received.
I work mostly with nonprofit and government agencies with print design, educational campaigns, fundraisers, and social media presence. I imagine Angela Bower would be doing the same thing today.
Has it been a smooth road?
The biggest challenge I’ve had to overcome is saying no to certain projects. Chasing the money doesn’t equal being happy in what you’re doing. I ask myself one question, “Who is this project serving?’ If it’s for individual profit I say no thank you, if it’s to serve others, let’s meet up.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sue Reveche Design – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I work mostly with nonprofit and government agencies. I provide print and web design, develop educational campaigns and fundraisers, and oversee social media presence.
I believe my work stands out because I believe in my client’s work. I believe in their product and service. I give 110% because I want to see an organization grow to provide services needed in their communities. It’s about using my talent and gifting to serve others.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most?
Long Beach provides such diversity in food, culture and art. There is so much to learn from the different personalities I encounter every day. I’m inspired by hearing the stories of community members on how to make Long Beach better.
