Check Out Steffany Strange’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steffany Strange.

Steffany Strange

Hi Steffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I’m known online as Steffany Strange, although it’s not my actual last name. My content creation journey began in 2020, fueled by a fascination with all things spooky and paranormal. This avenue allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals and share experiences that can be challenging to discuss in person.

For the past decade, my husband and I were immersed in the study of Psychic development based out in Denver known as the Psychic Development Circle led by Charles Cox. Upon relocating, we decided to establish our own group, an immensely rewarding venture. Recently, my focus has evolved from primarily scary content to delving deeper into the realms of paranormal phenomena and psychic mediumship.

Notably, I had the privilege of serving as a guest host on the CW’s “Mysteries Decoded,” appearing in three episodes, with two set to be released later this year. My collaboration with BuzzFeed Unsolved has been another highlight, contributing to the production of both spooky and True Crime content. Additionally, I’ve narrated for the podcast and YouTube channel “Something Scary,” boasting over 2 million subscribers – an extraordinary experience.

Looking ahead, I aspire to engage in discussions about my identity as a Latina in the paranormal space and the realm of psychic mediumship.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Navigating the realm of content creation is an intricate dance, requiring creators to wear an array of hats. In my case, the complexity goes beyond curating social media content and being an entrepreneur.

One of the notable challenges I encounter revolves around the hesitancy of certain social media platforms to amplify paranormal, psychic, and spiritual content. It’s a delicate balance, as these platforms may shy away from promoting content that falls outside the conventional boundaries. This reluctance poses a considerable challenge in reaching a wider audience, particularly when these platforms exhibit a preference for more mainstream and widely accepted niches.

Despite opportunities to conduct workshops with influential platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, etc the underlying preference for content from more popular niches remains evident. These platforms often cater to broader interests, leaving the paranormal niche somewhat on the outskirts. The paranormal space is kinda like the Wild West of content creation and boasts a fervent and dedicated community. However, its presence remains relatively obscured compared to the more prevalent and mainstream themes that dominate the social media landscape.

Being a content creator in the paranormal niche demands perseverance and adaptability. It involves navigating the challenges of a niche that is both highly popular within its dedicated community and somewhat overlooked in the broader spectrum of social media content. In this unique landscape, the quest is not only to produce compelling content but also to carve out a space that captivates a wider audience amidst the sea of more conventional content.

When I consider popular comedians or beauty creators, there’s a multitude to choose from. However, the landscape for paranormal content is surprisingly limited, much smaller than one might expect. Historically, the field has been predominantly dominated by males for an extended period. It’s encouraging to witness the recent surge and growth of women entering this space, but challenges persist. Beyond grappling with algorithmic hurdles and the intricacies of video formatting, creating paranormal content is a substantial undertaking. It involves not only the production of content but also the logistical aspects, such as travel. Generating compelling narratives in this niche demands a significant investment of time and effort. Despite the challenges, it remains a passion niche for those involved.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
It’s really hard to box myself in because not only am I creative where I tell stories, and that does take a creative skill, but also I am a professional in psychic mediumship. I’ve been certified, I’ve joined classes for a decade, and I even host my own classes here in the LA area.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What really makes me happy is bringing people together and learning from one another. That’s one of the biggest reasons why I do what I do. It opens up an Avenue of so many things.
