Today we’d like to introduce you to Huzaifa Abubaker.

Hi Huzaifa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started back from Pakistan, Back to when I was a kid. Lychee was a delicacy and a very expensive fruit. I wanted to start my company Whollychee for that kid in Pakistan that wanted to eat lychee for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Haha. When I was contemplating what product to launch or what to invest in next, I decided that the perfect lychee combination would bring light into this untapped market. Our product speaks for itself. We are more focused on building a community that shares memories of either enjoying this fruit back home or even just enjoying the Lychee flavor. Although, we have an understanding of how to keep up with the modern times as well. I am sure you have all heard of the famous Lychee martini! Our drink also makes for the perfect party starter! You can use it as a mixer for a cocktail or use it to serve to your children. Our juice is 100% natural! No added sugars or artificial flavors. Just pure Lychees!!

We had started our Lychee journey back in 2020, but that was our Research and development phase. We spent all of covid going back and fourth trying to perfect the Lychee flavor. We launched our product in October 2022. Today, we are on the mission to make sure everyone gets to experience our delicious lychee juice.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth path at all. We realize that it’s almost impossible to make your product successful without spending tons of marketing dollars. Placing the products in store has been a massive challenge for us. Privately owned local stores have been supportive in terms of trying the product, but when it comes to reaching the masses, we need the large retailers to carry the product. The shelves space at these big retails are very tough to get specially of you’re a new company and are trying to make your product successful. Small businesses like us have to face massive obstacles just to get our products on the shelves and make it accessible.

As you know, we’re big fans of Whollychee. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I believe when it comes to mentors. The best lessons you learn in life is through the mistakes you make yourself. Your downfalls teach you long-term lessons and those are the best takeaways.

When it comes to mentors, I believe surrounding yourself with people you can connect with is the best way to learn.
