Today we’d like to introduce you to Joe Gonzalez.

Joe, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I spent over 30 years as an Executive Level Manager in the retail industry. In 2015 I started researching franchise opportunities that I thought would be a good fit for myself as well as for California. After going through the “discovery” process with several companies, I landed on DetailXPerts. DetailXPerts provides eco-friendly mobile car detailing using steam technology. We clean the average car with just one pint of water.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Our residential business has really taken off. Customers love the idea of having someone come to their home or office to detail their vehicle while they work or spend time with their family. There is a lot of competition in this industry, but our steam cleaning process really sets us apart from the rest. Our biggest challenge has just been in getting the word out about the services we offer. Once customers see the results of our steam detailing service, they come back and refer friends and family.

DetailXPerts of North Los Angeles – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
DetailXPerts is a franchise business that started in 2008 in Detroit Michigan and started expanding in California in 2016. We provide eco-friendly mobile car detailing using steam technology. We clean the average car with just one pint of water. The heat from steam helps sanitize and disinfect the car’s interior by killing germs and bacteria and helps restore the “shine” to the exterior of the vehicle. Our revolutionary steam detailing is far superior to most traditional soap and water car washes. We clean cars, trucks, SUVs, mini-vans, motorcycles, RVs and boats. We also offer fleet wash and detailing services. We received the “Community Choice” award in 2016 from the West Valley Warner Center Chamber of Commerce for our efforts in conserving water and being eco-friendly.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me means providing a service that adds value to our customers, our employees and our company while at the same time helping our environment.

DetailXPerts does all of this! It’s extremely satisfying to see the smile on our customer’s faces when we’ve surpassed their car detailing expectations, all with no water or chemical run-off.
