Check Out Joao Bosco’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joao Bosco.

Hi Joao, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a tattooist, I have been tattooing for 18 years. My main influences are black n grey, Japanese and fantasy art. I love large-coverage tattoos and freehand designs.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I face struggles every day, every tattoo is a new challenge for me, and I want to do my best tattoo yet everyday. I take none of it for granted, I love tattooing and I believe that is my duty to always raise my bar and constantly chase improvement and excellence.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Some would call my tattoos a westernized Asian Heavy Metal. I don’t worry too much about labels and styles to be fair. I just want people to recognize my work from others and be able to tell straight always that it’s my thing, it doesn’t matter if some hate or love it.

If you create something without thinking about what the other will say, you are more likely to spawn something great and meaningful. Never get stopped by what others may say. When you die, you will be replaced the day after

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love everything about LA. I love the vibe and the people. The only thing that bugs me sometimes is the time zone in comparison to the rest of the world.
