Today we’d like to introduce you to Logan Loiselle.
Hi Logan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been creating art since I could pick up a pencil. It started with drawing dinosaurs at the age of three years old. One memory I have is being at daycare, while all the other kids were playing on the jungle gyms, I was drawing stegosaurus. My daycare noticed and admired my art so much that they had my designs printed on the school’s merchandise, such as t-shirts and tote bags. That would be a premonition to what I got into much later in life. Sketching dino’s evolved into anime characters, competing in school with friends as to who can draw the best action hero. As I got into my teenage years, I developed a passion for portraiture and the desire to render a subject life-like.
To tie in what I do now as a career, growing up I loved fashion as well. I remember when I was 13, I asked my mom for a Dolce & Gabbana jacket, sadly that was out of the budget so she got me a knockoff but didn’t tell me that until later in life. It’s the thought and effort that counts though right. Fast track into my later twenties I decided to move to Los Angeles, it was there I was introduced to D&G by a friend. The brand had a promotional event going, where if you bought a Sicily bag you could have it customized by an in-house artist. So I started painting bags on rodeo for my favorite fashion brand. And that’s where luxury customization began for me.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I believe the path to success is never easy or smooth. It’s been a journey to say the least. Like the ocean, is always changing. Some days it’s calm, sometimes you hit storms, but the most beautiful part is the process and not so much the destination. It makes us who we are.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in custom, one of one pieces of art on luxury goods, such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, and D&G. I hand paint designs on handbags, wallets, trunks, shoes and accessories. I’ve been an in-house artist for major fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, D&G and Salvatore Ferragamo. I’m most proud of my tenure with LV, it was there I created my most memorable works and made a ton of relationships. The level of detail I add into these works is what sets me apart from others. As well as my desire to build relationships with my clients and give them the best experience.
How do you think about happiness?
Seeing my dreams unfold before my eyes. Coming from a rough upbringing in the streets of Dallas, I never imagined the life God would grant me. Seeing your hard work pay off is so fulfilling. Being with my family also makes me happy and spending time with friends.
