Today we’d like to introduce you to Liv Chapman.
Hi Liv, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a full-time Model/actress and Rollerskater in Venice. I am originally from Seattle and randomly decided to move to LA one day. I quit college where I was playing Volleyball and grabbed a few bags and my skates and couch hopped for 8 months until I was able to get my own spot. After a couple years I began to pursue modeling. I had modeled for friends for years and decided to finally get over my fear of being too short and try it, bringing my skates to most of my shoots just in case. Now I have been doing modeling and acting full-time for about two years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hahaha, no it has not been smooth. Not having a plan when moving here was the biggest adventure of my life but also, I didn’t know what was going to happen next or what I was going to do next. It ended up working out and once I got settled one of my cats needed an emergency surgery which was very hard. She made it through, and I figured it all out and things have been beautiful the last year.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m known for my skates. I bring them everywhere and am basically a real-life roller girl haha. I would say I’m known for doing the splits and cartwheels the most. I love to cartwheel into bowls and then hop out and land in the splits.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The Venice skatepark fam is a big part! I have been skating 12 years but never found a place that is as much of a community as Venice. My brother and his fiancé are also big parts, they have encouraged me to freelance and have reminded me many times to not give up and trust in myself. Also of course my parents who always remind me to spread love.
