Today we’d like to introduce you to Trina Rozen.
Hi Trina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I began my career in entertainment accounting at Cast and Crew Payroll in Burbank as the Manager of their Accounting Team. As the Director of Accounting at CBS Studios for over 10 years, I made note of the many costly mistakes that creatives make, and I vowed then to help them navigate the ins and outs of accounting and tax compliance.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Owning your own business constantly challenges you not only as a professional but as human being. The ability to adapt and turn setbacks into opportunities is an absolute must for a small business owner.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Writers Room CPA?
Writers’ Room CPA offers professional accounting and tax services for WGA West writers designed specifically for creative professionals. We help screen and TV writers navigate accounting, budgeting, payroll, unemployment and taxes. We are tax and bookkeeping experts who understand entertainment accounting. At Writers’ Room CPA, it’s OUR creative dream to make all your numbers add up. After all, accounting and tax services for writers is our passion.
What were you like growing up?
I was always super organized bossy stickler, who tried to make order out of any situation. It turned out to be a very invaluable trait for keeping money affairs for over 350 active firm clients. I loved history, math, and anything to do with recording and budgeting money.
