Life & Work with Khalil Kharraz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khalil Kharraz.

Hi Khalil, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m an international Actor & Fight coordinator and producer. I was born in Belgium and raised between 2 cultures Moroccan and Belgium. I moved in Los Angeles ten years ago with my wife I started as a Bodyguard in Hollywood for most of the biggest celebrities then I met some people who pushed me to try acting so I started like everyone else in Hollywood as a background actor; you can see in Brooklyn 99, Seal Team, and 68 Whiskey. I’ve been training in Martial for years, I’m a self-defense instructor also as a personal trainer. I had a chance to the meet the director of the movie redemption day, he needed a fight coordinator for his movie and that was it so I coordinated the action and I was given the role of Abou Khalil along with an all-star cast that includes actors Gary Dourdan, Serinda Swan, Robert Knepper, Samy Naceri and Andy Garcia.

After a lot of auditions and a lot of closing doors I have decided to work on my own projects with my friends and director Bryan Cortez and Devon Powers aka Mr. Hollywood, we are now filming our first feature film, it’s an action movie I’m using all of my skills to create the best fight scenes I’m using a raw fighting style to Hollywood I’m bringing real-life martial Arts experience and techniques to the big screen to make it as real as possible. We have a small budget to film but our focus is art itself we’re selling art we are artists we are working with talented actors, and directors, that’s what we want to show to the big platforms and to the audience. I’m creating my own chance.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s definitely not a smooth road it’s filled full of obstacles that’s why the challenge is beautiful I’m used to struggle and I love it the reward taste even better when you accomplish something almost impossible. I’m this business everything you do is involving money but thank god we’re always finding a way to make it happen. Money is the nerve of the war. If you don’t have it at the time of shooting, it’s blocking the entire project. And it’s frustrating.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
