Chaie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a haircutting specialist based in Los Angeles. I’ve been doing hair for almost ten years. Hair is my passion & been cutting hair & my first clients were my Barbie dolls when I was young! I’m also a mother & married to my beautiful wife Holland & we have a lil one & her name is Lennox Love.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s never easy but it’s all worth it when you enjoy what you do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a haircutting specialist. I’m known for dry cutting, fine hair girls are the clientele I get the most. I’m proud of what I’ve done for myself, I’ve built my clients thru referrals. It’s really cool that I have a lil community coz my clients are friends of friends. I’m also most proud that after seven years of doing hair being in so many salons, I now have Onyx on Madison with my very good friend, Daniel. What sets me apart is that I really take my time when you’re in my chair, my approach is luxurious but not overly expensive & in my chair, you are relaxed & super pampered. Also I’m really proud that my partner and I are the first LGBT Immigrants that opened a high-end salon in Pasadena.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Consistency & really good memory & my attention to details.
