Inspiring Conversations with Tiffani Herron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffani Herron.

Hi Tiffani, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Why I decided to get into real estate? It all started when I began to read more self-help books in June of 2018. I will outline a small majority of those books below, but the first book I read was Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I’ve always loved to read. However, I was always more compelled to actually read books of value that would better my position in life: mentally, physically, spiritually, financially. If you have yet to read this book and have a desire to change your life and mindset, I suggest you buy it now. With Rich Dad, Poor Dad, I learned the key principle that contributes to success and failure, debt and no debt. That key principle is the significant difference between assets and liabilities. What serves you in the real world, and what does not? It’s not a trick question. Either we think we know the answer to this, or we just don’t at all. And quite frankly, many of us don’t know the true answer to this question because we were taught a different philosophy far from the truth, “Go to school, get a degree, find a high paying job, yada-yada, live happily-ever-after.”

Knowing this eventually led me to following Grant Cardone, a leading real estate mogul. In the Young Hustlers and Cardone Zone podcasts, Uncle G speaks about his investments in multi-units and that inspired me. Owning income properties (assets) to obtain financial freedom is the true American Dream. I pursued my Biomedical Engineering degree with a purpose and passion to help and serve others as a trauma surgeon in the medical field, but I also pursue it to satisfy my parents. Medical school may or may not be in my future, but there are other ways to serve others, live happily-ever-after, and make your parents proud. I chose real estate.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
You must be diligent and maintain discipline as an entrepreneur and running your own business. No one will manage your time for you. With that being said, it’s easy to get distracted along the way with things that may not benefit you for where you are trying to go [in life]. Another struggle is staying stagnant – in place – if you are not being guided by a mentor or coach who is able to assist you in expediting your success. This goes hand in hand with the importance of your environment and who you are surrounded by/with, and the sources of where you are receiving your advice… A combination of these things, one way or the other will add to your experience of having a bumpy road and potentially deterring you away from reaching your potential and new heights.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
