Meet Natalia Gutierrez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalia Gutierrez.

Hi Natalia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been a person who likes to help others especially when it comes to their development. And as someone who has learned and grown a lot as I worked on different areas of my life and continue to do so each day, I want to provide guidance for others based on experiences and knowledge I have gained over the years. So, I finally started my own business last year, called Visionary Catalyst. The focus was on career development and offering services including resume revisions and interview preparation. But now I’m looking into expanding into astrology and offering services related to that, with the development part still playing a key role but going beyond your career. As astrology is a passion of mine and has helped me so much especially in the last few years including understanding why myself and others are wired the way we are, how we react in certain situations and where are some areas we could work on based on our birth chart.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely has not. It takes a lot to start and run your own business, especially when you’re first starting out. You are a one person team usually and don’t have others to bounce ideas off of or to help you in certain areas where it may not be your strongest. It also takes a lot of discipline and planning, and you are the only one keeping yourself accountable. This has all been hard for me as I’m used to working in teams and each person focusing on a certain function / area and then coming together and sharing our findings and learnings. But I’m learning to break up tasks, finding tools and softwares to make things easier and more efficient, and people to connect and discuss ideas with.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently, I’m on a full-time self-discovery journey where I’m learning more about myself and what I want out of life when it comes to my career, interests, relationships, amongst other things. It started in May 2020 when I left my corporate career to explore other avenues when it came to my career including starting my own business. Little did I know at that time that I would be on this self-discovery journey of working on myself and finding what I want and what I am capable of. Prior to this though, I worked in Sales Development specializing in developing international brands both at a national and regional level. I am known for establishing relationships, being blunt and direct in my communication and body language (Scorpio rising, lol), but most of all I’m known for my love of astrology. People know I love knowing where the planets currently are, how they’re affecting us, and of course analyzing birth charts. It has really helped me understand myself and others and why and how we may be feeling based on our astrological blueprint and where the planets are. I would say I am most proud of listening to my intuition and leaving my corporate job. It was a very difficult decision as this is the only organization and culture I’ve known in my professional and corporate career. I was there for almost a decade, and to leave something like that was definitely not easy. But since then have been able to experience and learn many things I would not have been able to had I been still working there. And now shifting my focus into exploring other areas and industries and continue learning along the way.
