Today we’d like to introduce you to Ty Bakr.
Hi Ty, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my journey to becoming a Holistic Transformation Coach shortly after I had gotten out of the military five years ago as a Navy Corpsman. My job was very similar to a Medic but alongside Navy and Marines instead.
I was never the biggest or strongest in the room growing up and always wished to feel more happy in my own skin. After some pretty bad injuries that left me no choice but to get out of the military and pursue a new path, I knew that I had to take back control in my own life. I had no idea that in that moment, I would be changing so many other lives than just my own.
I began pursuing a degree in medicine and sports performance and began my journey of transformation, I got the opportunity to work with some of the world’s best sports nutrition coach’s and trainers, learning and mastering my craft through research, certifications, and most importantly self-application. I competed in over 13 Bodybuilding competitions and attained a natural pro card before I began in the coaching space. Ive been so blessed to be able to transform 100’s of lives and mentor multiple overall champions.
I believe in a coaching practice that emphasizes my three pillars of transformation. The mindset work, the spiritual work, and finally the physical transformation.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I grew up with an Immigrant parent, my mother had raised me all by herself even despite being wheelchair bound. She was one of the greatest teachers of hard work I could have ever had. When I started In fitness, I had no real knowledge. Being unexperienced forced me to make a many great deals of mistakes in my diet and training regiments.
I am glad to have made these mistakes so that my clients do not have to. I never blame anyone for falling victim to a fad diet or detox regiment anymore. I know just what it’s like to want to change your body and not know how, it can feel desperate at times. These companies take advantage of this natural human emotion.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Holistic Transformation Coach.
I started this journey after being in the coaching space for four years and noticing that there was a trend, health and well-being was no longer being considered in fitness. In The New You Transformation Program that I offer, I utilize three pillars of transformation to make lifelong changes.
Mindset Work, Spiritual Work, and finally the Physical Transformation.
I think the physical transformation is often what’s focused on and thats where you start to run into issues with implementing habits for the long haul. Without the mental and spiritual shift, it will always just be a diet and not a lifelong change.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I think taking risks is so important because life is about believing in yourself, if I never took risks I wouldn’t have started my business or began my Bodybuilding journey. You never know what you’re capable of until you try.
