Daily Inspiration: Meet Madison Dizon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Madison Dizon.

Hi Madison, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I first came out to LA with the intention to attend FIDM and become a Fashion Stylist. I slowly fell out of love with the school and wanting to learn more outside the classroom. I started mentoring a dear friend of mine, Elaine (@iamfashionlaine) and soon enough, I was her IG Creative Director, Makeup Artist, Photographer, and Intern all in one. This taught me a lot about blogging, Social Media, and attending social events in LA. I fell in love with PR and being out in the scene, working movie premieres, product launch parties, etc. I decided to then further my beauty skills in makeup school and esthetician school to learn about skin and beauty. While working as a facialist in West Hollywood, I also began my journey with KandyPens representing the company at events and educating on the products. A few short months after that, The KandyPens House LA was born and I was brought on as the Marketing Assistant to help run all events and house operations. Once covid hit and spas shut down, I put my all into KandyPens and paused my beauty career. This job has been the best thing for me because I have the most amazing capability to be myself and express myself within the Cannabis industry. I specifically use Cannabis as my daily medicine due to my chronic illness, Fibromyalgia. Advocating for this plant truly is my life and why I am so passionate about my job.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My health has held back a lot in the past 4-5 years. Lots of doctor’s appointments, tests, and trying to listen to my body. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on with my health, I had to quit my position with Elaine and I wasn’t able to perform as many makeovers as I wanted to. I had to deal with settling and saying no to a lot of things because my body was not well enough to. I still now do not know a lot of the reasons why my body feels how it does but it motivates me to keep pushing and remember to love myself. Lots of self-care and grateful for Cannabis!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Just at the beginning of the new year, I became the new house manager of The KandyPens House! I specialize in event planning, brand outreach/connections, influencer relationships and all the little things you can think your mom does around the house for you, a.k.a. Momager is my title sometimes. I love to host and bring people together in the community to connect and find ways to all boost each other up to be successful. I am known for creating themed events at the house and opening up the community to all faces, races, shapes, and sizes, no matter your follower count. I am proud of the family I have been able to create and continue to build where we uplift and collaborate with each other. What sets me apart from others is that I really love to meet anyone and welcome people into our family. I genuinely love to promote small businesses, new products or be a help to someone’s new brand. We are no regular LA content house, this house is built off pure love, intention, and gratitude for being a part of the experience.

Besides my position with KandyPens, I also run my own beauty business, Beauty by Madison Rose. I perform CBD facials, Microdermabrasion and specialize in deep tissue facial massage. I love creating skincare routines for clients and ultimately helping them achieve their results!

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see Cannabis becoming more part of everyone’s daily lives and public consumption being more normalized. Infused restaurants, bars, consumption lounges, and even how spa’s are including Cannabis into services, we should be able to be adding CBD, Delta 8, THC, whatever it may be to our meals, products, and part of our healthcare. I would hope that with states across the country legalizing Cannabis, we can make products more accessible to those in need and eliminate all criminal penalties against adult use and cultivation while also releasing all Cannabis-related arrests. I would hope in time there will also be more resources for education, for all ages to understand and learn.
