Today we’d like to introduce you to Luqman Karim and Ahmed Rashed.

Hi Luqman and Ahmed, can you start by telling us about yourselves? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We’ve both always had an entrepreneurial spirit. We came from humble beginnings and used to do whatever we could to get paid. Whether it was selling candy in high school, or flipping iPods and computers on Craigslist, we would always find a way. As young adults, neither of us felt right working a job. We knew there was more to life than working to build someone else’s fortune.

We started AUX Mobile Car Care after seeing the success of other automotive detailing companies. We used the last of our savings to pay for our LLC, detailing equipment, and a down payment on our first work van. It’s been a long journey since, filled with hard work, patience, and plenty of lessons.

Today, AUX Mobile Car Care is doing better than ever. We are excited and grateful to be starting AUX Motorsports, a rental company here in the Los Angeles area. We are starting this chapter with more experience and confidence than the last, and we truly believe this is only the beginning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Our biggest challenge was not having any tracks to follow. We are both the first in our families to own a business and break a cycle of hourly wage jobs and government assistance.

We didn’t have any experience in running a business and didn’t have anyone to turn to for advice. We had to figure everything out on our own. This meant investing in courses, books, and seminars to gather information and make connections. We made a lot of mistakes along the way, but we’ve grown and learned from each one.

Aside from the lack of resources, we also had the challenge of adapting to change. We realized we couldn’t do the same things and expect different results. We had to sacrifice a lot of time with our family and friends to work on ourselves and our vision. We are forever grateful to those that consistently showed their love and support throughout the journey.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your businesses? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from others?
AUX Mobile Car Care is a mobile automotive detailing service in and around Los Angeles County. We specialize in bringing vehicles back to showroom conditions from the convenience of your own home or office. What sets us apart from similar services is the professionalism and pride that we take into our work. We are extremely proud of starting this company from scratch, and that is shown in every vehicle we touch.

AUX Motorsports provides exotic car rentals around Los Angeles and surrounding areas. We plan on carrying fun and exciting vehicles that normal rental companies don’t offer. Starting this fleet has been a dream of ours, so the same love and pride goes into this as our first company.

What makes you both happy? Why?
Nothing has the power to MAKE us happy because happiness can’t be MADE. Happiness is within you, and it’s important to carry happiness and positivity with you every day.

It’s easy to get discouraged after hitting your first speed bump, but if you’re able to have a positive outlook and see the light at the end of the tunnel, you’ll easily be able to stay on track.

One of our goals is to help others realize that energy within them and set an example of what’s possible against all odds.
