Today we’d like to introduce you to Nico Donys.

Hi Nico, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins with an interview my wife and I did on a well-known television station. We told our love story because our story was very different in fact the TV presenter had compared our story to the Phoenician goddess. After concluding our interview, we decided to make it public and publish it on a well-known video platform (Youtube). Well, fate would have it that the views grew day by day, I was amazed by all this and we understood that we liked it a lot. My musical career begins precisely from all this. A lover of Latin music since I was a child, I always dreamed of being an international singer and of getting on stage. I immediately understood that fate was on my side and so I started writing a song dedicated to my wife, and the song was called “TU ERES MI VIDA” written in Spanish and Italian with reggaeton sound just because that was my nature to write Latin music.

Then I created a stage name with my own name but only internationalizing it so my stage name “Nico Donys” was born from my legal name Nicola Donato. It makes me laugh to think that when I created it, I said you have my relatives and friends to do the tests calling me prorio so to see the effect it had and since then, I fell in love with this name. My musical influence is taken from international songwriters such as Vicente Fernandez, Julio Iglesias and Pastor Lopez I liked to listen to their songs a lot because since I was a boy, I have always been passionate with women and turned in the most elegant manners a real gentleman. My lyrics are inspired by women because I like to write songs where I tell my emotions. I think I have something inside of me that pushes me to make Latin music and just lightly, I learned Spanish during a job done for about a year on the island of Palma de Mallorca.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Well, where there is success there is also sacrifice, you do not receive anything without having to face challenges that are sometimes very difficult. The very fact of being the center of attention brought a lot of criticism, sometimes constructive and sometimes destructive. It was hard to accept criticism that made you feel bad and sometimes there was that little voice inside me that told me leave it alone this is a great thing for you it cannot work, but hope and faith have never abandoned me, and woe to me if he had given up hope, I certainly wouldn’t be here writing this beautiful interview. But all this has also brought me international recognition such as the nomination of a prize in Spain and recognition as the best artist of my kind in the city of Miami, now I am preparing for other international awards such as the Hollywood Music in Media Awards where I hope to be part of it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I can certainly define myself as an artist at 360 degrees, this is because I had the creative and artistic passion. In addition to being a musical artist, I am also a martial artist and as they say in Italy an artist in creating bread is so called “white art” (professional baker) where everything is created and born from the hands. Precisely these three distinctly different but artistically identical arts where all three create make me proud of what I do and of being unique. Because I was lucky to receive this type of teaching both from my father where he handed down his art as a baker and to my Karate Master where I found the key points of my life not only artistic but also in everyday life.

What matters most to you?
What interests me most is to live my professional and family life in the best possible way because it is precisely what interests me most to live and face new challenges and goals because life cannot be faced without any reference on where to go and what to do.
