Meet Eli D. Goss

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eli D. Goss.

Eli, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always loved having my picture taken. When I was five, I asked to be a model. After doing some toy shoots, I decided I wanted to try film/ tv. I have never looked back since. I have been fortunate to have been in multiple student films, local TV spots and social media commercials. I’m also starting voice-over work and that’s a lot of fun as well. I look forward to many more opportunities in the future.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel in this business, there are always struggles. Figuring out how to get the best backdrop/ full set up for self-tapes, figuring out what is needed for Voiceovers. Then putting it all together. Finding the right coaches takes time. They’re all great but some are a better fit for you than others. When I audition, I have to remember that auditioning is the job. Booking is the icing on the cake (I saw that somewhere but can’t remember). And I always go by you do your best and forget the rest. So we tape and forget about it!!!

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Right now, I think my range for my age is getting better and better. I can do comedy and drama. I am learning how to read scripts and where the turns are and how to say things in a way they might want me to say them just based on the direction, wording and punctuation.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
When I won Best Young Actor for the American Youth Film Festival 2019. Then this year, I won Star of the Year American Youth Film Festival. I am also nominated for Best Commercial Actor for not only the Young Artist Awards but the Skyline Performer Awards.
