Tajah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Just a typical young African American female from Los Angeles taking care of her two younger siblings while her mother worked two jobs to make ends meet. Watching my mother live paycheck to paycheck, I knew I wanted more in life, more for my family and more for my future kids. Today, when people ask me what motivates me, I say the struggle. I was young but my mind was different. I knew I was going to be great, I knew I was going to make a difference in my family, “struggling” wasn’t going to be the narrative anymore. Just like every other young adult, I struggled with finding my “purpose”, my “calling” and what direction I wanted to go in. A teacher, Real estate agent, a nurse or maybe ill just be famous! After numerous schools, double shifts at dead-end jobs I didn’t give up. Sometimes, in life you have to stop everything you’re doing, take time alone to really figure out what is it you could be doing wrong because sometimes the answer is right in front of you.
One day, God spoke to me! Growing up, I’ve always been into my figure, staying in shape, I loved not only looking in the mirror and being genuinely happy on the outside but feeling good in the inside as well And that’s where Becoming a body sculpting therapist changed my life forever. 310BodyStudio was started to help encourage every women feel like a more beautiful them! Its been something special to me because I personally can relate. I know how it feels not to feel your best and when you don’t feel your best, you’re not going to be the best you can be! Every session, I try and make every client feel like a better them and that impact makes this journey everything I could’ve asked for.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Just like every young entrepreneur starting a business it has most definitely not been smooth sailing but nothing in life is. Educating yourself as much as you can on your business or even the business world is the most important thing you can do when starting! I knew if I kept overthinking and letting my “what ifs” take over my mind, I was never going to start. When I first started my business, I started off 100% free! I made no money, but I knew how much potential and how big this could be so I took the chance. It was never about the money, getting out there and expanding my business name was the main thing. With lots of prayers and the help from word of my mouth of my wonderful clients, my business expanded! No appointments turned into being overbooked. No matter how small you start, no matter how many Instagram likes your business post have or how slow it takes for you to build your clientele all that matters is that you started! Positive thinking will always be the key.

I specialize in Body Sculpting. Body sculpting is a non- invasive way to destroy fat cells without the expensive surgery! With the help of combining the two techniques such as Wood therapy and ultrasonic cavitation, I treat areas such as your abdomen, thighs, bottom, arms among a number of other areas over a course of a number of sessions. If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had the option to start over, I wouldn’t! Everything I did in the beginning was done exactly how it was planned to. All the mistakes, all the information I didn’t know has made my business everything it is today. Nobody starts off perfect and that’s okay! I had to go through trial and error to know what worked best for me and what was smart for my business. I’ve always tried to just do instead of overthinking and I believe that’s why my business is successful today, I trusted myself, I trusted my vision and that’s all that I needed.
