Today we’d like to introduce you to Natania Lalwani.
Natania, before we jump into specific questions about your work, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in India and I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember but I think the important shift was when I wrote my first song on guitar at 15, that’s when I really wanted to sing and make it into a career. So, at 17 I moved to Los Angeles and have been going back and forth ever since pursuing a dream!
Has it been a smooth road?
Every road has its bumps and i think this career is challenging but the rewards of creating and art end up making it all worth it. I think it’s hard being away from family and missing out on moments and there are never ending struggles in getting your music heard but it all pays off in getting to do what you love every day and enjoying all the little victories along the way!
We’d love to hear more about your work.
I’m an artist and songwriter. Most recently I was the official voice for the Spotify India Ad campaign and worked on the music for Season 1 and 2 of the Amazon Prime Show Four More Shots Please. I love creating music and helping other artists tell their stories. I think writing songs from a vulnerable place and staying true and authentic sets a song apart from the rest.

Los Angeles is a place to be! Ask me – I travelled across the world to be here. The amount of opportunities here are endless. I would recommend connecting with as many people as you can and you will find YOUR people and grow together!
