Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris “Big Duke” Malloy.
Chris “Big Duke”, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a Music Producer/multi-business owner from Cleveland, I moved to LA to further my business in the music industry in 2012. I Had originally been in the industry since 2007 before I moved here… I managed an Artist , Chip Tha Ripper artists from Cleveland Ohio, We also grew up together and we still collaborate . Me and Chip Along with local Dj Ev came up with a project for Cleveland titled B*tch I’m From Cleveland which shed light on Emerging artist across the city Machine Gun Kelly, Kid Cudi, Ray Jr to name a few. Brought everyone together !!!! When I got to Los Angeles, I ended up connecting with a lot of the local artist and some Big Name artist as well. I was able to build relationships, All apart of the journey.
In 2018, I reconnected with The Game and we started to work on what would be his last studio album “Born 2 Rap”. On this project, we collaborated with a lot of artists… Chris Brown, Anderson Paak , Bryson Tiller, 21 savage list goes on. Project was amazing!! One of my favorite Albums I have worked on to the date. in 2017, my business partners and I started a studio space called “Ultrium Studios” which has become a hub for the music and entertainment industry. We have a pretty unique layout as far as our design and our client base is pretty well. Spread! Check us out if your ever in North Hollywood. I’m also an owner of a plant-based pastry company “DUKIE Pies” name after my nickname. Big Taste little consequence is the model. Health is the real Wealth .
I am a hardworker focused on growth and pushing myself coming from the Inner city once u get a opportunity to live a better life and change your surroundings take flight . I’m focused on being the best me daily!!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I went thru a lot of struggles. Being told no doors shut in face. Put out of studios, put out of houses. Homelessness, some nights didn’t eat but I never stopped believing in the journey the process. Sometimes I questioned if I was going in the right direction. Faith in God and understanding the process got me thru it all. No means “Next Option”.

Music Producer, Studio Owner, Pastry baker, Fitness and Holistic Health, I can go all day lol I just want to be the best version of me… I think my drive, my mental and also me being an empath sets me apart from people because when I say I feel you, I mean it!! Making it out of the inner city and making something of myself is by far my best accomplishment. I’ve overcome so many obstacles it’s crazy. I’ve lost over 100 plus pounds.. I beat obesity, adversity, and anything that steps in my path!
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Skating Rink Roller drome some of the best middles school memories ever!!
