Today we’d like to introduce you to blogger Olta Shega.

Olta, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started as being an influencer on social media. Years ago, not knowing it would start a whole new chapter in my life. It started as fun; I’ve always loved Instagram’s platform and its ease of use. I have also loved taking pictures and dabbled in photography for a short while. Instagram is the perfect mix of all of these things! It’s my favorite app for social media as well. It is a full-time job & passion!

Has it been a smooth road?
The beginning it’s always difficult and it requires a lot of effort. It has its ups and downs. The path isn’t always smooth or always rocky. There’s an emotional toll that comes with being on social media constantly, that it’s also about the pressure of being perfect all the time.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
Being authentic is important, but it’s just as important to be unique, which is insist you need to do in order to be successful. If you want to get started, “Don’t copy someone else format or style of photography because there is already someone doing that. The influencer world is very saturated but there is always room for new people.”

I know it’s hard to post all the time and always capture content, but for me, and I’m sure for anyone, you go to an Instagram account, and if you don’t see something different after two days, you’re not going to go back to that account. That pressure to constantly be creative can be tough, but if you’re really into the job, it’s worth it in the end.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Maybe with a big project 😀
