Meet Tyler Burk of Glover-Burk Photography in Studio City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Burk.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tyler. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’m an actor first. Basically meaning, 99% of my job is needing new headshots. I’ve had my picture taken by some great LA photographers, but I got sick and tired of paying a fortune for the same photos everyone else walking into the audition room would have. When I met my husband three years ago, we were both “bus and trucking” it in the business. I understand how to make agents, casting, and most importantly our clients happy and he knows how to make things look fresh, modern, and eye-popping. We work hands on with our clients to tailor make every single detail specific to them. There’s no formula here- and I think that’s what sets us apart from everyone else.

From the get go, we’ve always focused on the important things: natural light, fresh and simple choices, and undeniable truth. That’s exactly where we are today, just with some amazing clients who love our work as much as we do.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We keep it simple, we use top notch products, and we never settle for mediocre. That process does bring with it the occasional gray hair… but that’s okay for us. We give everything to our product and to our clients which makes our road very smooth.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Glover-Burk Photography – what should we know?
Glover-Burk Photography specializes in one of a kind portrait photography. We are known for our relaxed and chill environment, our clean and fresh editing, and our evolving style. I’m most proud of the way we take an actor’s vision of what they think they want and update it for 2017 and beyond in a way that catches everyone’s eye.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
We joke and say Ellen DeGeneres is our main sponsor. Only because we happened to go to a taping of her talk show the week we were beginning to dive head first into this business. And as fate would have it- the audience prize for that show was a big wad of cash. So we took our earnings and deposited them all into the business. Thanks, Ellen!
