Meet Galabina Kamenova of Super Body in West Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Galabina Kamenova.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Galabina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria under a Communist regime. For most of you that don’t know where that is, it’s in Eastern Europe between Greece and Romania. As most girls there at that time. I wanted to be like Nadia Comaneci.

At the age of 6, I started training gymnastics and became part of the national team. I won 6 national titles and competed internationally.

At the age of 17, I stopped and started training trampoline. I made the national team as well and won 2 national titles and European bronze medal.

At 21, I was casted for an acrobatic show in Osaka, Japan. I lived and worked there for 2 years while also studying Judo. I got a black belt at the end of my study.

After Japan, I spend few years wondering what to do and decided to try and achieve a long time dream of mine. I auditioned for Cirque du Soleil. Months later, they invited me to train for one of their touring around the globe shows called Saltimbanco. I performed in 3 different acrobatic numbers as well as the main female character. We traveled around the world for about 4 years visiting over 35 different countries. After the show closed, I moved to LA and decided to start my own business passing my knowledge to people and helping them become the best possible version of themselves.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well….it’s never a smooth road. Life doesn’t work that way. The bigger your dreams are the harder you have to work for them.

The biggest struggles for me outside of myself have been adapting to all of the countries I lived in and understanding the people and their mentality. Finding a way to communicate in different languages, I had to learn English, Japanese, Russian and Hebrew. I am not fluent in all of them but know enough to communicate.

And the struggles within myself have been to find who am I, what’s my purpose in life, what’s right and wrong, how to help others and make a contribution to the world so one day when I look back I will be happy with what I have done. I fight hard every day to live up to the answers of these questions.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Super Body – what should we know?
I work on two different levels.

1.) I help people who are out of shape, feel tired, low on energy and excitement, who’s body and mind doesn’t perform at the level it should to identify these issues and the reasons for them and to implement solutions into their daily lives. It’s an 8-week elite coaching program that completely transforms a person to the state of being where his body and mind can perform at their peak.

I believe that the foundation of success in whatever you do starts with feeling good about yourself, in your body and in your mind. If you feel good, confident and happy you will do everything better. You will have better relationships, you will have a successful career, you will look and feel younger and you will have a great impact on the world.

This program is my absolute pride and joy because everything I teach in it I do myself now or I did it at some point of my life in order to achieve a goal that I had. This is a program for elite people who can hold themselves to high standards, people who greatly care about the quality of their life and the impact they make on the world. The results people get are incredible. It makes me realize how incredible the human being is!

2.) I work with actors, singers, dancers and performers to help them get the body they want and to look and perform better on stage, in videos or whatever events they are attending.

What sets me apart from others is my 26 years of combined experience in professional sports and Cirque du Soleil. I have trained with the best, competed with the best and learned from the best coaches, nutritionists, performance psychologists, artists and athletes around the world.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
INTEGRITY, BELIEVE, BRAVERY, HARD WORK, HOLDING UP TO HIGH STANDARDS AND CONSISTENCY.
