Meet Moosho Khachikyan of MooshoPhoto in Burbank

Today we’d like to introduce you to Moosho Khachikyan.

Moosho, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My photography career was ignited when I was merely a teenager in my homeland, Armenia. I worked diversely in the club scene, the wedding industry, and for a fashion magazine where I developed specific skills in each type of production. In the meantime, I began my studies at a university in Armenia where I devoted my years as a student to becoming a director of photography and obtaining a degree in this field. Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree, my mind became set on moving to the United States, and within months, this idea blossomed into reality as I set out to meet my new home and all of the opportunities that came along with it.

In the U.S., I became invested in both videography and photography and I continued working in the wedding industry where my creativity flourished and I was able to bring my visions of love to life. Over time, I began to put emphasis strictly on photography and devoted my time and efforts to fine art photography and to pleasing my diverse clientele. Today, I am in the continuous process of building my empire with the hopes of creating a prestigious business and reputation in the field of photography.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road to building a career in photography has had both its ups and downs and has been far from smooth. Moving from Armenia to the United States was a struggle in itself because of the cultural variations and the process of recruiting new clientele from scratch in a land where I knew close to no one. Even in the present, the journey of achieving my goals has its discrepancies because of the constant effort required to stay unique and relevant.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with MooshoPhoto – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
MooshoPhoto aims to differ from the rest by focusing on documental photography and bringing back old methods of capturing moments with film photography. I take pride in the documentary aspect of my work in which I focus on natural life photography which consists of not merely the couple, but rather the couple and all that encompasses them including their emotions, significant moments, memories, and loved ones. My goal for every day that I work is not just to take photographs, but to capture moments and help bring memories to life.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
A goal and aspiration that I have set for myself is to create a prestigious reputation in the wedding industry, to always remain as artistic as possible, and for it to be demonstrated clearly in my work.
