Meet Michelle Rozzen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Rozzen.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Michelle. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My career started very young! When I was a child, my Dad used to pay me $1/a minute to massage him. I then played 11 years of water polo in high school and college, and during this time, I would massage my teammates and friends. I had my own long list of injuries to heal and patch up.

With all of the physical therapy and massage I received, I became very interested in learning about the muscles and therapy modalities. In addition, during my college years, my father was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. I became more interested in taking care of the body, not only on a physical level but the overall health of the mind, body, and spirit.

After I graduated from San Jose State University in 2005, my massage career started by working with NFL Players at training facilities. I traveled for five years on tour as the massage therapist for the International World Tour of Bodyboarding and the United States Bodyboarding Association. I’ve also provided massage therapy at surf contests, such as the MSA Classic and the ASP US Open of Surfing. I have over seven years of experience providing detox massage therapy at drug and alcohol treatment centers and rehabilitative and restorative massage to the elderly, ALS and cancer patients. For the last three summers, I have been a Booster and massage therapist for Team Challenge ALS, a basketball team involved in the TBT 2 million dollar summer basketball tournament. It’s more than basketball, it’s about raising awareness and funds to help find a cure for ALS.

I currently work for an elite clientele in the sports industry (NFL, MLB, MLS, NBA) and entertainment industry, including actors, artists, musicians, dancers, and performers. I’m very fortunate to work on some of the top Billboard artists and athletes worldwide!

I am based in Los Angeles and available for private house calls, spa parties, backstage & on-set, in studio, sporting & performance events, and traveling with and to clients locally and internationally.

Has it been a smooth road?
For the most part it’s been a smooth road and an amazing journey! I’ve been fortunate enough to have great clients and do something I love to do. Through my networking and reputation within this field my business has consistently grown over the years.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
The modalities I specialize in are: Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, Thai massage, sports massage, Lomi Lomi massage, CranioSacral therapy, pregnancy massage, and therapeutic stretching. Additionally, I offer cupping, gua sha, and graston therapy. I use my Michelle Rozzen essential oil line, including cannabidiol (CBD) oils as requested into my practice. I have developed a powerful and unique ability to listen to each body and its path for healing, re-balancing, and aligning.

I am most proud of how quickly I have built my business. I am unique, passionate about what I do, personable, and my clients love me. My business is fully mobile, and I travel to my client’s homes, hotels, and even hop on airplanes near and far to provide my services.

This summer, I am launching my own Michelle Rozzen collection of essential oils. I’m so excited to offer my clients something to use in addition to a massage that is also very healing. Included in the collection will be diffuser blends, roll on blends, beard and hair oil, and bath soak. They capture the healing power of nature from around the world and help you feel better, naturally.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that our city is beautiful, there are mountains, beaches and lots of things to do. It’s diverse, the weather is the best in the country, and the people are pretty awesome too. The traffic is the worst thing about LA, I think we can all agree on that.
